Thank you man, bought this bench back in May and had no idea they had this attachment, and im honestly amazed at how many attachments this thing has. Design wise its fantastic. Its not perfect but for a home gym? It gets the job done and can save you tons of money in the long run.

Thank you for watching and congrats on your purchase! I agree wholeheartedly. It’s not a perfect bench but it’s AMAZING for home use. I have most of the attachments so please let me know if there is anything you’d like to see. I’ve developed tricks to maximize the attachments over the past 10+ years!

Do you happen to have the measurements for the square tube that goes into the bench for the attachments? Also could you gdt the height from the floor to the bottom of the tube?

Hey man. I ended up getting this and my wife thought of a great idea to use a stack of magnets on the post where the threaded stopper hits to give it some extra height. It ended up working great. I use the magnet stack for leg extensions but take it off for leg curls. I ended up taping the stack together so 1) the magnets don’t separate and 2) they don’t scratch the powder coat.

you can order the leather covers, they feel much better with it on. I love the leg attachment its one of my favorite attachments for the super bench. I use to use it for back exercises and even for calf raises. You can definitely get creative with this piece

From where did you get the small ceiling mounted storage rack the white color one? All the ones which I find are at least 6 ft long

Hi! It’s a SafeRack from Costco that I got over 10 yrs ago. I’m not sure what sizes/colors they still produce. Good luck on your hunt!

you want more angle, more stretch equals more muscle activation
@axelgutierrez4075 Жыл бұрын
Typically I’d agree, but the iron master is different. There is no angle at the waist, which would help alleviate stress in the lower back. So to compensate, it helps to not have the starting position of the legs being locked out.

I have the dip attachment but you cant add weight with a belt due to the circular bar of the bench
@axelgutierrez4075 Жыл бұрын
Good point. I’ve never tried but I have a belt and the dip attachment also. Have u tried putting the dip attachment facing the bench pad side? At least it won’t clank against the metal!

Thanks for the demo So even at 5"9 you scrape your feet when doing extensions 😕 I'm over 6"5, would have to elevate the bench if I were to get it to do that exercise. How does it feel 1 leg instead? Could you work in a different position? I tried a budget Chinese made adjustable bench at my local supplier and had a similar experience scraping the floor, no problems for leg curls though there
@axelgutierrez40752 жыл бұрын
I envy your height! But yes, this would be an issue for the regular iron master bench. The pro version is at an incline I believe, which should help a little. You could also set the normal bench at an incline, but you’d have to find something sturdy to put under the leg press since it will no longer touch the ground.
@redwhiteandblueblood2 жыл бұрын
@@axelgutierrez4075 would the incline help much? As the SB Pro is like 3 inches shorter than the SB
@axelgutierrez40752 жыл бұрын
True, the shorter height of the pro might be an issue. They’re really good about responding to questions if you email them. I can try setting my bench at an incline and will report back!
@redwhiteandblueblood2 жыл бұрын
@@axelgutierrez4075 ok cool You'd probably have to elevate the feet for the leg curl attachment? As yours is just a regular superbench I've seen Ironmaster just came out with a low backrest attachment for overhead shoulders and triceps, good idea as I'm not sure the preacher attachment would be suitable for that
@axelgutierrez40752 жыл бұрын
@@redwhiteandblueblood I just checked the leg attachment. It is not height adjustable unfortunately. You can set the bench at an incline but you’ll need a block of wood to place under the attachment to make it stable. I hope that helps!

Awesome review and overview. I’ve been thinking about getting this for over a year. Could you glue/tape a thick piece of rubber or foam (or however many you need) to extend the screw 3 inches to get the ideal angle for the starting position?
@axelgutierrez40752 жыл бұрын
Hi and glad you found the video worthwhile! Yes, that’s a good idea as long as the rubber is strong enough to take the stress of the weight you use. Maybe I’ll try a piece of wood. If I come up with an elegant solution, I’ll post a video!

Sorry for the late reply! Yes, I use the attachment often. I’m currently doing a push/pull/legs split, so I use this on one day for my quad, hamstring, calf workout. The other leg day I do standard barbell/dumbbell work
@mattsayers77502 жыл бұрын
Do you know if the super bench pro and leg attachment fixes these issues? Can you still do seated calf raises with the ironmaster super bench pro model?
@axelgutierrez40752 жыл бұрын
Hi Matt. Unfortunately I don’t have the Pro to compare it to. Based on the videos I’ve seen, the starting position is at a nice incline unlike the flat position of the standard bench. And it does look like you can still do the same calf raises. Note that the calf raise is just a hack that I and some others do. Ironmaster does sell the calf raise block to do standing calf raises. I have that as well and I mix those in for my calf routines. I hope that helps!

I’m considering this attachment and looking for advice on what to use for weights. I don’t have any plates so looking for an economical option. Any suggestions?
@axelgutierrez4075 Жыл бұрын
Hi Ed! I failed to mention that the leg attachment also works with the Iron Master square weights if you have the dumbbells. I’m using the Olympic sleeve adapter in my video. It easily detaches if you have the standard weight plates or the iron master square weights. If you don’t have any weights at all, you can strap bands to it and anchor one side to something that won’t move. Another alternative would be to make your own weights using an inexpensive plastic mold and pouring cement. There are quite a few videos for that option!

Probably use Styrofoam and some tape to create a spacer to keep that 90% angle you want. @5:45
@pinkypromise111 Жыл бұрын
Can’t u just raised the angle of the bench to elevate the bench ?
@axelgutierrez4075 Жыл бұрын
Hi! Unfortunately no. The leg attachment is at a fixed height, so if you change the bench angle, the attachment won’t touch the ground and will be unstable.

Whats the differwnce between the pro and the v2 iroaster bench? I sold my powerblock bench to get the ironmaster. Hopefully I made the right choice.🙄
@axelgutierrez4075 Жыл бұрын
Just based on all the attachments you can get for the super bench, I think you’re upgrading from the powerblock bench! The construction is also top notch. As for the super bench pro v2, it replaces the older super bench pro. There’s a new handle and etched numbers for the incline. The bench I have in the video is the old non-pro version. It sits higher than the pro, which many people dislike. Either way you go, pro v2 or regular, you’ll be happy!

@@axelgutierrez4075 I think I will get the pro which I think is not as high as the regular bench rigjt? What does the hybrid pad do on tje v2? Don't see much difference between the pro and v2, they both are the same dimmensions rigjt?
@axelgutierrez4075 Жыл бұрын
@@futbol1972 I don’t think they sell the pro anymore. Your only choices on the site are the pro v2 and the regular super bench (which I have). The hybrid pad seems amazing in the videos I’ve watched. It is more firm than the bench I have and has 2 widths which helps with certain exercises. If you’re able to find a pro v1, you don’t get the hybrid top but it’s still more firm than mine. One thing to consider is that the attachments you’ll get must be “pro” compatible because of the height difference.
