I LOVE VTubers. I enjoy watching clips of VShoujo, but when tuning into streams, it's the Smaller Streamers I like best. Ones you can really build relationships and even friendships. The kind of stream where the VTuber will remember your name if you're active a lot.

Pretty much VShojo ride or die for me with a few indies sprinkled in like AICandii as I know they're 100% in control of their content etc and in VShojo's case they've now reached a place where the current talent appears happy and well supported. Lessons have been learnt and the current model for VShojo appears to be working well. We'll never know what goes on internally within VShojo (despite so many claiming they do and substituting rumours and speculation for any semblance of facts), but when certain members left in early 2023 it seemed to lift a great weight off the shoulders of the remaining talent. What had been a very sparse collaboration schedule within VShojo became something of an avalance of collabs in the wake of the departures and it really hasn't slowed down since then, with Zen driving a lot of that. While everyone talks about Mouse (and rightly so) Zen is in many ways the heart and soul of VShojo - and I suspect we only see a fraction of what she does for the group. I know there are VShojo haters out there that will never quit, but I can only go by what I see and hear from the talents, and the way Mouse and the others talk about GunRun and VShojo is what I go by in determining the ageny's credibility. There are times I suspect VShojo's biggest crime in some people's eyes is that they're NOT like the JP agencies. SMH. And seeing Mata's rather enebriated, tearful thanks to a very heavily medicated Mouse at the end of the New Years VR party summed up just how different this group is to some of the big JP agencies. Not really an agency for loners or egos thats for sure. The way Henya has grown and come out of her shell since she joined has been a delight to see. You don't get that happening if the talents are as horrible as the haters claim. The gremolin energy between Mouse, Henya and Froot is brilliant. And who knows, if Mouse is to be believed, Hime might even stream before the year is out - we can but hope :)

@@DeValiere_ Yeah. I think Mouse was probably the Heart of the Old Group, but Zen seems to be the Heart of the New Group. An if VShoujo was truly that bad, then Matara wouldn't be talking about how much BETTER things were. She wouldn't sound so SHOCKED at how much support she was getting as a Talent. Like you don't see actual Facts of the TERRIBLE Treatment of Talent the way we are with these other companies. We actually see the opposite, facts that they are thriving and doing well

Goddamn dude, that was a solid video. VShojo to me is such a fascinating agency because of how comparatively lean it is compared to other major agencies; I hesitate to use the phrase "quality over quantity" in this regard, but I genuinely think I am so much more invested in every member's output because their comparatively smaller talent pool and constant collaborations make it so much easier to engage with all of them. Combined with the "talent first" mindset (a catchy slogan that I honestly believe when they say it) and a solid talent pool (Ironmouse is a powerhouse, but every one of them are star talents and innovators), and it's no wonder they have the foothold they do in the community despite having a fraction of the members of other big names. What I feel safe in saying is that while I was watching vtubers before VShojo, VShojo got me interested in vtubers as an entertainment medium.

Thank you so much! Been trying to get better with videos/scripts so I'm glad so many people are enjoying this one! Interesting comparison too, I didn't realize how the other agencies could be more bloated comparatively, and also only noticed one thing about like auditions and such while looking into VShojo stuff, but I think another person had commented that VShojo doesn't really do any auditions anymore and instead seeks out members based on how they vibe with the current team, which makes A LOT of sense and is such a smart way to go about it. I don't think any other VTubers or group could have gotten me into VTubers like Mouse & VShojo did - like I've watched some Filian stuff before getting into Mouse but she wasn't really tied to any groups lol. Thank you again for the comment, I really appreciate it!

I think a big part of VShoujo's continued success is that the Talents are allowed a much more freeform and flexible schedule. If they want to hang out with someone else, they just can. There's no need to schedule, it's just "Hey you online? Want to join? You do? COOL!" An how they've really transitioned to more towards being a cohesive whole. To really be integrated with each other, in large thanks to Zen. Zen has really stepped up to be the Heart of the Group.

VShojo has had their issues, but what makes them different is that they have been able to learn and improve as they go. After losing nyanners, veibae, and silvervale, I've noticed that they have been more cohesive, and the agency has done more to improve the contracts and provide more support to its members. They're no longer doing tradition auditions and are instead finding people who have been tried, tested, and true as vtuber AND can mesh well with the other members. Having bad social chemistry has doomed debuts and they want to avoid that. Let us see what new members will come to VShojo.
@Taiakun
@Taiakun 9 ай бұрын
I agree regarding Vshojo being more cohesive in 2023. While Nyanners, Veibae and Silvervale are great streamers, they did not seek out collabs with other members as much (except maybe Nyanners with Ironmouse) and more often than not are off doing their own thing. Out of the original core, the member who seeks out collabs the most is Zentreya, and one of the things which helped this year was that newer members were willing to join as much as possible. Haruka and Geega were already collabing with Zen years prior (hence the group name The Three Idiots), and Henya is really eager to make friends and have fun with everyone. Adding Matara elevated things to a whole other level, as she has so much ambition to do with projects and collabs involving the other girls. She is also a people person and just loves hanging out with the others on stream or in discord. Them also finally having the modded minecraft server helped a lot. With Ironmouse and Henya often being on during their off-time, and Mel, Kuro and Froot also loving playing the game, it gave everyone a chance to always hang out with each other at any time of the day. I think the best thing about this group is that they can spontaneously just decide to hang-out whenever they want. No need to schedule a time or organize things in advance with management. If someone is on the open chat discord server, anyone is welcome to hop in.

Out of every vtuber company, VShojo is unique in its approach to how it supports its talents. This is the main reason why I have always supported and enjoyed VShojo, despite all the negativity they receive, the positive things they do far outweigh the bad. Even former talents continue to thrive on their own - I chalk up their desire to part ways with VShojo as them wanting something different that VShojo was unable to offer them. VShojo really is a beacon for Western vtubing, along with Phase Connect and HoloEN.

First off, great video. Very personal and direct. It’s not a KZbin video do the sake of content, but one driven from genuine interest. One thing that you have consider is that of all of the agencies, the most popular and fruitful one is a company called Hololive, they are very well respected and command a huge audience. That being said, while Hololive treats their talents generally well, one thing that Vshojo has them beat is the contracts. While Hololives gives a bigger audience and by extension more attention, money and tangible events (3D concerts, new models, etc) Vshojo is more for established vtubers that have some kind of following. Ones that can be led in a direction to keep it going. In that aspect, it’s harder to be seen as much as Hololive and other big agencies, but as I mentioned, the contract and money split is where it really sets itself apart. Members of Vshojo get 100% of all their donations, bits, subs, etc so they don’t have to share that portion to Vshojo itself. So while the total profit is lower than the total viewers and donations with other companies, they get a bigger cut of the pie. And for veteran Vtubers, the biggest and best feature of Vshojo besides great managing, is freedom. The talents can stream what they want, when they want and how they want. Besides a few sponsored streams that I imagine are in their contract (or they get a cut themselves) they can stream at any time, any game and any activity including face cam streams, and personal sponsors, etc. So yeah, also lastly, they have probably the most generous split for merch in Vtubing with Geega saying that it’s above 50%. Nijisanji another huge company and rival of Hololive gives the talents a measly 2% of merch sales… yeah. Anyway, great video. I ALSO fell down this rabbit hole cause of mouse! She’s a gem and so are the rest of the Vshojo girls!

Thank you! I try to not do anything scripted on things I'm not interested in, and have been spending a lot of time recently bettering video/script structure and editing - so I really appreciate the kind words! I originally was going to do a whole video about VTubers & Ironmouse/Vshojo as a whole, but I quickly realized that there is SO much to it I was super overwhelmed, so focused it to just Ironmouse/VShojo - so I learned a tiny bit about some of the other big name companies but didn't get to much into it. Thanks for sharing some knowledge on the contract aspect of things, and how their revenue is split separately - definitely helps understand some specific things. Makes sense with how the current VShojo members act that they have more freedom and much, much better management - they don't seem tied down, and seem like they actively work together as a team instead of a company/employees, which is absolutely the way to succeed. Thanks again for the comment, I appreciate it!!

@@jack_shippo yea to extend what op said here a lot of vtuber agencies especially the really big ones holo/niji tend to follow the "idol" business model, this has led to several problems regarding talent being treated like products and not people, I think holo is doing better on that these days, but niji en is currently imploding.

@@jack_shippo No problem. You did the work, I just said a few words. Words that I mean, but words at the end of the day don't create it good content :D As far as learning the Vtuber scene, there are a lot of ways to do so, but don't feel compelled to. For example, I know how popular Hololive is and how great their talents and concerts are, but to me, it's too much to get to know since there are a million worthy Vtubers to watch. So for me, I only watch Vshojo, and indies for the most part. A little Nijisanji before the huge debacle, but I figured Hololive has enough fans. haha.

Ironmouse has dropped so many people down this rabbit hole and her 1inning 5 awards last year (and Vtuber of the year this year at the Streaming Awards) further pushed Vtubers into the mainstream. Vshojo get along because the talents have a say in who they work with and they only pick people they enjoy playing games and spending time with which is a great way to hire if they are going to spend every day with them. Also, i can't wait for the sequel once you learn how much better the Vshojo contracts and deals are compared to the idol based corporations. They actually let the girls keep their models and social media if they decide to leave and that's only one of the many things they do most idol groups wont.

Seriously, liquids in your lungs make really creepy noises when you breathe sometimes. lol. Luckily I have had a career in art and and video editing so I have a few skills needed for it. It's just my Autism and my social paranoia make it soooo hard to take the first step and put myself out there. I'm thinking about asking my Psychiatrist for valium or klonipin to help me with my sever anxiety/paranoia with social media and general public related interactions.

It doesn't matter what you sound like - as long as you're passionate, enjoy what you're doing, and make fun content - that's all that matters!! 😀 I love how you'd incorporate that into your lore - having your breathing sound like a million souls crying sounds EXTREMELY metal and cool I love it lol. My disabilities are all mental, so I can understand the autism/social paranoia bit (I'm diagnosed bi-polar, but am 99% sure I have un-diagnosed Autism as well, it runs in the family unfortunately) among other things - my one piece of advice to you though? Just make content. Just push yourself to take those first steps and CREATE something - a video, stream, testing out a VTuber model, anything - just take that first step and things will be SO much easier from there - you CAN do it!! If it helps - I sat struggling with myself to even START writing or editing this video, my own brain is my worst enemy, and I didn't think it'd even be worth it to try - but you HAVE to push past that crap in your mind and just create something. If you ever need advice or anything like that please don't hesitate to reach out - and I'd love to see what you come up with vtuber/content wise!! Please don't give up on it and pursue your passions no matter what - the world needs more passionate people creating things. Thank you again for watching and commenting!!

With the recent Niji stuff it's honestly pretty crazy how well Hololive being as big as it is and Vshojo being as small as it is comparatively have handled all their drama so professionally. The talent also seem to just be in good terms with one-another if not outright extremely close friends, even outside the organisation. The people who are friends with Vshojo to the point where they almost seem like part of it like BuffPup, Bao, Shylily, Rose and Numi etc. are all so nice and wholesomely chaotic it's inspirational.

Very true - it was crazy being an outsider and not really knowing much at all and seeing the Niji stuff unfold - I understand a lot when it comes to business/management stuff, and seeing it from that perspective, it's just so disappointing how a group so successful could be ran so horribly. Just hope all of the members who were impacted by that can heal up and get better. Yeah that's the biggest part for VShojo that I think works well - is everyone gets along and they do things outside of "work" together - really builds up a good team. And all of their friends that join in things really helps lol. Thanks again for watching and for the comment, appreciate you!

I am fans of Vshojo and know that compared to other Vtuber Agency like Hololive, and Nijisanji (before Selen crisis), VShojo has a lot of hater but If you dig around enough you will find out that the real reason is because they're free women on the internet who have freedom to do what they want. And also, sometimes there's a very political reasoning behind those hate, it's very easy to understand and even easier to ignore them. the other reason is more probably from traditional corpo stan, "Vtuber supposed to be 'Perfect Idols', and these western bitches ruining everything".

Why I can't call Vshojo best agency, because this is literally elite club for big indies. You can't enter there with your 5k subs and show your talents all over the world thanks to Vshojo popularity. Hololive still doing best in all sides (from top female streamer of the year over all platforms to concerts and charity streams). And Phase Connect very Intriguing with their growtn and open policy.

Well. Vshojo is an agency like actors joining actors agency or singers joining music agency. People joined vshojo as a contractors and using the perks of an agency while taking cuts from sale of merch and sponsorship. Yes, the company taking cuts, not the other way around. Where as the rest is somewhat like a company as they become employee and get perks. This is why, after Haruka, there is no other audition as they tried that model and don't think it was good in the long run. And this is also why there is no such thing as graduation. Either exit on mutual term or exit upon end or contract. There is no such thing as termination in this model but there is break of contract clause if the said person bring harm to the company, but the level is quite lenient. In vshojo, talent have the power to their own career and the agency assist them in term of management and completion of contract with sponsorship or projects. Its works as an extension and not the one who makes things. This is why Henya can joined in and do the 3D consert even when she joined not even for 3 month. Henya herself thought she can't joined in the first place. As long as there are resource available and time for her to prepare. She can joined them. This is also the reason why there is no such thing as milestone where talents have specific number of time to stream. They can do whatever they want. This is also the reason why Hime aka Sydney can joined geekxplus and nazuna aka mikeneko kan join voice-ore while still in vshojo. This is also why Geega can still be under MSM. The model is good for established vtuber as sometimes, to do idol stuff, you need to have a group/agency to pull crowd. Let say if Dokibird joined, she can bring all her crew with her and vshojo can do the hings that she might have problem doing.

@@daegograndynte2771 Vshojo closer to Asmon's Mythic rather than traditional vtuber talent agency. Maybe because of that those 3 went from Vshojo to Mythic. Overall Vshojo feels like that. Individuals. Not group by one label. Especially after Hogwarts "wizard game" incident. But first Vshojo concert was a good show. Simple, but cute. About "second job". Many big vtubers in Holo doing their activities aside agency (only Niji requests to close any side activities). Calli doing live concerts and tours, Choco and Noel recording their 18+ content for their past chanels, Kronii and Nerissa doing their VA things, Ina took 3 months hiatus for drawing to her chinese emploees.

@@x149te yes. The only difference is that, vshojo treat the members in collective ways. Which mean, the members do grouping works with tags in them. Its easier to sell their image as a group for some sponsorship or merch collabs. Mystic on the other hand works individually. Meaning while its under agency, they are still independently between each talent. And as for Hololive, yes they do have them. They can even stream on their PL or IRL flesh as long as they did not disclose themselves. Still, they cannot signed under other employers/company. Its more like working independently to get extra income.

its stayed drama-free really after the departures IMO. I think they really learnt after a big mess once and i think there was some disagreements about one person within but since its gone long into vsj-history and should stay there. it was a terrible time being 1: a VSJ and 2: someone who was there for each fact of the situation that came out. It got me into HL and (ironically) nijiEN (until recent events) but the past while, zero drama and i think they have been able to knock that kinda atmosphere on the head finally. Glad to see it getting the recognition it deserves as a vtuber group, many had shyed away, glad you found them as they are all incredible people in there, all powerhouses of content in each of their own ways.
