Paqueta can be a liability and is out of form. All decisions are here and now. He loses the ball in some dangerous areas. It's the manager who is the problem. Tactically inept. He's post match interview was embarrassing. We won't get anywhere while he is in charge. He is getting closer and closer to the exit door.

This is a “narrowly-survive” transition season at the current rate. Kudus through the middle as he picks the ball and distributes it; Ings upfront; Bowen and Summerville on each wing; Soler, Paqueta, Alvarez, or Rodri in midfield; Emmerson, Kilman, Todibo, Wan Bissaka, and Areola Should be played repeatedly so they get familiar and fight together. Stop holding a high defence line; it's not working for the team.

What we have learned is fairly irrelevant. It’s what Lop has failed to learn that bothers me. You cannot play a high defensive line against fast teams without fast centre backs. In the second half against MC we went high played pretty well but were killed off when Haaland broke through our slow right hand centre back region. Chelsea did this three times there’s a surprise. Chelsea learned Lop didn’t. Just a note - Moyes wouldn’t have played high and I doubt we would have conceded like that.

I would give Soler and Irvin a go in midfield along with Alvarez. Paqueta is a good option off the bench until he gets his head sorted out.

It’s funny what people see I felt Paccy was more involved yesterday than he has previously agree double him up with Soler Have to try Kudus through the middle and keep Bowen out wide with Summerville left we were so static yestrday no movement at all and everything is reactive rather than proactive Chelski ran rings yestrday while we spectated

Anton, Paqueta may well be our best player, but not right now. He has had a few games now where he not only loses the ball he also fails to track back at speed when we lose possession. I'd rather have him in the team but not if he isn't putting in a shift.

It’s clear that JLo is still unclear about what the players can and cannot do. From his interviews he wants players that can adapt tactically in different situations, but these guys can’t do that, certainly not yet. Maybe he is trying to move too fast? It seems to crazy to play a high line against a pacy attack with no real pace in the back line (where we do miss Aguerd IMO). I’ve always said we would start slowly as lots of transition and change. However a few more performances like that and he’ll be sacked. Mavro needs to be dropped, he has been at error for many of our goals. Don’t know what is up with Todibo but hopefully we will see him in the cup. Guido seems to be taking a while to get up to pace - but again this is where what do we expect with so many players new to the EPL? We need to remember both Guardiola and Klopp didn’t set anything alight in their first season. JLo is no Klopp or Pep I’m sure, but my point is transitions take time and there are many bumps in the road. Yesterday was terrible defensively; I hope we never see anything like that again! But, booing the manager/team and calling for people to sacked already is 100% not going to help anything get better.

Disagree with you on Paquetta. We are simply carrying him, and we need to play to our strikers' strengths to solve our striker problem. I Agree with Soler playing though.

No way Paq and Soler would get steamrolled by any competent premier league midfield. Look at Caiedo I know he cost 100m but that is the type of player profile you need in midfield. Energy and legs is what we need as we are far to ponderous in midfield.

Point 1, I disagree. Paq is full of mistakes and simply not on his game. I would go so far as to say, he is the most overrated player we have ever signed! I would be leaving him on the bench and bringing Irving in for a few games. Point 5, totally agree. I have said for a while now, I want to see Summerville on the left, Bowen on the right and Kudus as striker. Playing Bowen as striker makes him look totally out of place and he gets frustrated, as he did a few times yesterday. Alvarez is pretty useless and stood watching the players go past him for their 2nd goal. Another overrated player!
