This is really interesting to see guided and with 4 players.

I was unfamiliar with Ironsworn before this. Been digging into the game the past couple of days. Very easy to learn mechanics, great storytelling opportunities. This is right up my alley! 😍

Great AP. Kudos to Ben for a really well ran and well explained session. I particularly liked the very natural way the swearing of the Iron Vow was done, as a cultural part of the setting. And the control of everyone to stay on point for two hours too - unless that was amazing editing!

Thanks for the kind words Neil! I can assure you editing is the absolute bear minimum is needs to be, we’re far too lazy to be doing that if instead we can just play to a high standard. :)

I was interested in the system. Learned a lot and it was a good watch to boot.

For me I was looking for three things: does it help me decide if this a game that I should get because I like its style: having bought the game, does it help me understand the mechanics in action; can this help me be a better GM. On all three counts, it works really well. I thought i would want more mechanics explanation but in practice it was the right balance.

Why is Hush occasionally rolling against a D8 / D10 while everyone else is rolling D10 / D10? I understand Starforged has loads of moves? Was each roll a move even though it might not have been clear that was happening?

Player error - he should be rolling the same as everyone else, but clearly sausage-fingered his entries into the dice roller! Good spot.

Yep. Hush is occasionally an idiot… Sorry, my bad, error not specific rules case.

@@unconventionalgms hah, well, that was the obvious answer I was not expecting. I assumed it was some ability or something! :)

Can we start calling these “etiquette” tools instead of SAFETY tools? Let’s stop pretending that anyone’s safety is at risk here in a verbal discourse game and a VIRTUAL one at that. The fact that the common misinterpretation that safety is at risk from simple verbal communication is something that distorts reality. Verbal and mental abuse IS a thing. But its association with physical safety is not right.
