We Filled Our Trailer From Our Local Honey Hole - Week In The Life

FWIW I used to work for a 3rd generation farm family that had never thrown anything away. One day they gave me the key to an outbuilding, a ‘56 Chevy 3/4t flatbed and 2 helpers. The goal was to sort all the &hit out of the building keeping the ‘good’ stuff and scraping the rest😅. We parked a 20’ flatbed trailer on one side of the doors and the Chevy backed up on the other. We started clearing and sorting from the front to the back, good stuff on the Chevy, scrap on the flatbed. Got’er done in 12 hours and stacked the good stuff neatly back in the building. Found a beautiful 1940’s DeWalt 12” radial arm saw and an 1890’s post drill with bits and gears to adjust self feed to drill size.

I wouldn't want my Older brother to clear any barn out because he would bring the junk home and stack it in his barn. Mon his barn has 4' of junk stacked to get in you have to jump 4' foot high to get in. He's one of those scrap metal guy's so he comes across just about everything. A lot of people call him when they need to clean out there back yard or Garage.

The intake can be welded. It rotted from the inside out exhaust crossover….

Very hard to weld when it’s corroded from the inside out. Hard to get the porosity cleaned from the inside. But it is worth saving for sure
