Just a FYI in case you don't know, "Tanks, Inc" makes a nice little "tank vent that you can mount onto a simple tab behind the tire in the wheel well. It even has the "roll over" check valve inside it. I used two of them on my Model A "Saddle" tanks. Would work great here for you and keep any vapors out of your interior.

Matt, talking about bumpers, where do you go to get things re chromed? I know that it's a dirty process and uses harsh chemicals. The EPA has some tough reg's on the subject, that's why a lot of guys got out of the business. It just got too expensive to keep doing it in the US.
@danontherun568513 күн бұрын
I find chrome to now be the biggest restore problem due to EPA wiping out the plating shops in Seattle. Few standard fiddly bits including grill on a 32 for $7K for driver quality finish on restored orphan sedan worth maybe $12K. How much for a late 50s caddy chrome?
