My grandfather was born on the Tonawanda 1897, he would dance this after our holiday meals. I see him still dancing

Thank you for sharing your meaningful memory of a loved one. That's what I feel life is all about, sharing meaningful things, I appreciate it very much! By the way, my wife's grandmother is from Tonawanda too, Margo Jamieson, a very niCe young at heart lady...

Oh my goodness! I used to have three cassette tapes of these songs bought from the Iroqcrafts store in Canada! I learned the songs by heart! ... I’m an English woman in the UK! 😊 God bless you all

Cool. I used to live around the corner from Iroqrafts. If it's the same one on Tuscarora Rd. in the 6 Nations Rez, in Southern Ontario!

Reinsure the glory of the original Eastern woodlands people, old copper, fine shell, intricate quill work. Don't feed into the novelty of being Native American return to your distinctive roots.

You r so right, Haudenosaunee came long before American anything, also Iroquois was just the name given by the French! And don't forget they r also Kanienkehaka, (People of the Flint)

iam a french and indian war reenacter as a Mohawk. would it be disrespectfull to wear my 1750s clothing to dance instead of the pow wow clothing?
@ShayneMarrelli9 жыл бұрын
+Dakota Heffner For any "Social Song" you could wear what you like, but the regalia should match the type of dance you are doing, ie: Fancy, Smoke, Traditional or Grass
