@swedishgorilla1 I am of Native American Heritage from up where Captain Jack and his Braves fought. It was not just the Modoc that fought with him, they were mostly Modoc yes. And Yes. we are proud to be Native American. We are re-gaining that pride, but it is a struggle. My father was beaten in high school for dancing with a white girl. He was jumped by 4 white boys after the high school dance. It's not easy but we're rising again. Be a good person no matter what though!!

A funny(?) piece of trivia: in Finnish we call the Mohawk hairstyle "irokeesi" which comes from the word Iroquois. But I have no idea why. I think the Mohawk people were a part of the Iroquois confederation, though, so there is at least a link there.
