the thing is with corporate vtubers is that the character and accounts were made and given to them by the company, they payed for the model, equipment and all that jazz. so when corpo vtubers graduate/retire/god forbid fired they cease to be the character that they play as a vtuber. and they have to give back all that stuff to the company. some exceptions do exist and some are allowed to keep their models and identity but thats usually not the corporate standard. indies usually get to keep their because they payed or made those models themselves so of course they keep everything cause they own it
