Awesome! Hopefully you will have water all summer and will have a awesome yield on your crops.

The lake needs to be taken care of. It needs to be cleaned regularly. This can be done with a dirty water motor pump and a Bagermaster suction nozzle.

So you’re pushing 1000’ of 2 inch lay flat with the 2” harbor freight pump? We’re trying to get water to our pumpkin fields, we have about 60’ in elevation change from the pump site to the field (uphill) so that being said this pump should be adequate, if you’re pushing it 1000’ with 75’ in elevation change?

How long from the pond can the pump get water to? You have 3 acres of drip tape being all used from the one pump!? This is amazing, since I don’t want to put a well in - on land that I don’t own.

There is a lot of math that goes into calculating friction loss, pipe size, gpm over elevation. The Rainflo catalog has all these charts In the back of it. If you don't have one Call them they'll send you one. 3 acres is pushing it with 2" hose depending on all the things I just mentioned and pump size.

How do you regulate pressure on trash pump so it's lower to 10-15 psi. Also do you have fertilizer system inclined and where?
@CherryHillFarm2 жыл бұрын
I have a few videos about sand filters and fertilizer injection where I talk about pressure regulation. Check them out

Is it a netafim flexnet mainhose at 7:45? If yes, do you find the product better/more durable than layflat or ovalhose?
@CherryHillFarm3 жыл бұрын
It is. It has is place. In some applications it works well. I still use primarily black oval hose for durability and cost savings.

@@CherryHillFarm when i worked on a big strawberry farm in the mid 2000 we uses black hose (i think its oval) over layflat. One drawback was that hose elongate as the temperature rises and the drip tape become unmatched with the center of the beds… This i why im interested by flexnet, but its seem so light and fragile..
@CherryHillFarm3 жыл бұрын
@@Kamotor1980 it is super light, but it is very durable. Much more mouse resistant than blue. It just doesn't line up all that good since the spacing is preset

Can you please tell me how you build your irrigation system. I want to build one to cover 2 acre land, just would like to know what i"ll need. Drip irrigation is new to me.

I have a couple other videos that explain it pretty well, one called chemigation, and one, how our irrigatolion System works. Scroll back thru my channel and you'll find them

why do you use sand filters?
@CherryHillFarm Жыл бұрын
The water has to be filtered, or it would stop up the drip tape.

If you don’t like the throw away culture why wouldn’t you buy a better quality pump like a Honda ?
@CherryHillFarm2 жыл бұрын
Im a farmer. I can't afford to spend $1000 on a 2" pump. I've had really good service out of all of my predator powered equipment.
@hansdreisbach95202 жыл бұрын
I just bought a 2” semi trash pump from northern tool with the Honda for $545
