I agree with you in regards to clay soil and overhead sprinklers. 👍 May need some sand bags to hold that sprinkler down if that pressure is to great and wind?

The stand has spikes on the end of the legs I just didn't stomp it in well enough. Sandbags is a good idea though, because some places were so hard I couldn't get the spikes in the ground.

Any time we run water on the garden from a gas pump. It has to be rainbirds or flood type. The pond gunk plugs soker lines. Though pond junk can plug rain bird heads as well. . We use the 2" harbor freight pump. It's something like 150gpm with all 2" lines. With no rise in elevation. We run 1" or 1.5" on the output side, so output is restricted a bit but a little more pressure. . In summer, We have a requirement to have basic fire fighting tools. it's basic Oregon department of forestry requirement. For operating in fire season/regulated use times. . that can fill a 5 gal bucket in 10 sec or less thru a 1/4" fire nozzle. Minimum of 500 gal for stationary, 300 for mobile setup. For a pond water source like you have, we would be required to have enough hose to reach the entire property, or the hole logging operating area.
