Hello fine project !! My question is if there is a specific program sonoff has for irrigation or it is just an on/off switch? Thank you!!
@david_p. Жыл бұрын
Hi! It is programmed from the eWelink app, the Sonoff is a switch and from the app you configure when you want it to activate and for how long. You can also integrate other smart devices such as a rain sensor or a humidity sensor for plants to decide if you want it to turn on during irrigation or stay off. Here you can find more information on how to make the programs: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iWmvl4eFmL6bfdk

Hi! It's been running every day of the year for over 2 years now and I haven't had any problems, I've never had to open the register box since I've ridden it.

Hello. Thank you for sharing the project. I would like to replicate the setup but one thing is not clear for me: valves should be powered with 24V AC and not 24V DC, hence how do you obtain 24V DC output from Sonoff SV? Thanks
@david_p. Жыл бұрын
Hello, the valve must work with DC. The output voltage of SONOFF is the same as the input voltage. Another option is to use a 24v AC transformer and control it with a Sonoff basic R2 smart switch.

The Sonoff SV has the same voltage output as the input, keeping in mind that if the input is DC the working range will be 0-30v DC, if the input is AC the output working range is 90-220v AC . If you use this option make sure you put the jumper correctly on the Sonoff controller.

I want to do the same job in my garden. My only issue was, what closes the electrovalve? Sonoff can send an "open" signal, or nothing. It can't reverse the polarity to send a "close" signal. Do those vavles close by themselves when power is not applied? Is that how all electrovalves work? Or do they have to have a specific function in their specs?

Hello, The electrovalve that I use open while receiving power, when the power is disconnected they close automatically.

@@david_p. Excellent, I imagined so. Thank you for the reply.
