I used to work in the real IRS and I can tell you that all calls are recorded both audio and visual. Every single keystroke, every mouse move and every spoken word is recorded; even if you go to a website (authorized or not) is recorded. I forget how many years the recording stays in the IRS system. These calls are CONSTANTLY monitored by supervisors and managers from the first call to the last call every single work day, monitored for quality assurance. I'm not sure but probably most state revenues are also recorded.

My recommendation for anyone receiving these calls is to demand to be arrested. It’s better than to pay some damned thief. This is a crime. No question about it.

pappamonkey The problem is the level of ignorance out there. The IRS has procedures in place for everything and unless you are a lawyer or accountant or had experience dealing with this stuff it’s kept like some secret knowledge. Wider education especially by the IRS and FBI and this stuff wouldn’t happen. That is what is needed. One article on page 27 of a newspaper isn’t going to fix this problem.

This is too funny 😁 From 1979-1984 I worked for a local savings bank. I worked in the data services/ accounting department. Our next door neighbor in the office building was the regional IRS & Social Security offices.That may come up some time for the scammers 🙋🏽‍♀️💕
