I am having a feeling that one day the 4 train will be having R62A mix with R142. Also the 6 train will also have a mix of R62A with R142A. This way the MTA don’t have to swap them every time they due construction work on the weekends. Let’s hope that swap happens it will be a blessing for us rail fans.

Awesome catches I’m just waiting for MTA to get Jessica’s “The Next Stop is” & “This is” reinserted into the programs again so I can enjoy a Dianne free ride I hate hearing her voice on the 4,5,6 lines I pray they switch the announcements back to normal soon but hey sweet catches the R142As alongside the R188s are my favorites

Those announcements were deleted off the R142/A computers due to running out of storage space there. Plus it’s not a huge issue. No one has been making complaints about it.

@xHomuran The onboard console on the train is essentially a computer, so they must have a storage medium to keep these announcement files. It’s like a laptop or a PC you have at home. They both had a storage medium.

The Green stickers are not painted in green those are regular label Green stickers that are from Westchester yard line

The R62as came from the Pelham line that s how the R62as was on the 4 line for the weekend The only thing that all they have to do is that the R62as has to go to 125 Street and they switch to the up town side and there is a button that they press to the Jerome avenue 4 line
