I can understand your feeling about the (5) to new lots avenue (I wish too as well way to hard for me to travel to new lots in the am rush to see the only 2 (5)s that start there I live in the Bronx) the reason they don’t do that is because MTA feels it would congest service having it end at new lots avenue since it takes about 5 min to inspect the train to make sure no one’s on it (the trains that go to Livonia yard) in the am rush it’s true it would cause heavy congestion like the train you boarded did go to Livonia yard after discharging at Utica it’s just easier for them to pass the station. This would be something to suggest to MTA. One way or another the (5) has some interesting terminals in the AM rush there’s also 3 5 trains that end at gun hill road via full white plains road express also 6 (5)s that end at east 180th street last 4 via white plains road exp

You know what, I did make a call to the MTA to have them fix the program on the 2 train from New Lots Av, which they did and that caused me to do the 2 via the 3 finally. Now if I suggest to them to have the last few 5s that go to Utica go to New Lots, my response to them would probably be that it would provide a little bit of additional service. If you had a couple of 5 trains terminate at Utica and have the final two go to New Lots, that can work and then it would run smooth. If that happens, I can do a reverse peak 5 train roundtrip between Dyre Av and New Lots Av. That would be cool. They do a peak direction round-trip on the 2 to/from New Lots in the peak direction. They should keep that and they should keep the peak direction 5 trains starting/ending at Utica.

I’m just gonna say this Bowling Green is a terrible termination spot for the 5 so I’m never gonna do that service route where the 5 ends at Bowling Green. It’s a terrible termination station. The 5 is better fit terminating at Flatbush.

I’m just gonna go on record and say this: Thank God the service change is over. However, I understand the logic that some people have had with a petition to have the F stay on 53 St and have the M move to 63 at all times except late night hours. If you had that, you Can eliminate delays at Queens Plaza. The problem is I won’t be there for the return of the M train back to normal because I am still at the Campus.
