This exciting continuation of the classic sci-fi series, originally created by Irwin Allen, debuts today. Originally airing from 1966 to 1967, the iconic series returns with all-new characters set in the present day, offering a thrilling experience for both longtime fans and newcomers alike.
In 1979, 20 years after it was set up, Project Tic-Toc was shut down by the American authorities. All hope of retrieving scientists Tony Newman and Doug Phillips, lost in the Time Tunnel in 1968, has been abandoned.
In 2025, four people are brought together by a need to reopen the Arizona base and reactivate the Time Tunnel in secret. From there, they must try to find Doug or Tony because something they have done in the past has changed the present-and not for the better. The world is now under the power of Rakervia.
Leading the cast are Seán Carlsen (Gallifrey) as British naval officer Captain Lewis Haworth and Safiyya Ingar (The Eleventh Doctor Chronicles) as young hacker MB, alongside Jay Reum as dark web operative Cole Smith and Rachel Handshaw as marine biologist Clare MacGregor.
When these four heroes find themselves in a changed world, they must travel through time - using The Time Tunnel, a top-secret installation based in Arizona - to put things right. Over the series, they will visit key moments in history, from the English Civil War to the Stonewall uprising, meet famous historical figures, and work together to restore the world to its proper course.
Volumes 1 and 2 of Irwin Allen's The Time Tunnel will be released in February and November 2025, respectively. Each volume comprises three exciting adventures through time and is now available for pre-order exclusively at the Big Finish website:

Damn, this is great. The Time Tunnel spiral is such a sixties icon, up there with the TARDIS itself. Reinvigorating cult classics like this is where Big Finish excels. My head spins with all the possibility's of what else could be done: Bonekickers (please), The Night Stalker, Crime Traveller, Sliders, Sea of Souls (only if Bill Paterson returns), Tru Calling, The Owl Service. So many shows have such great concepts to be explored.

I also would love if you one day adapted Get Smart. I think the series’ comics would be the best way to do it with modifications obviously. Also I know most of your shows are science fiction. But I’d love if you made happy days audios one day

A Similar problem happened to Sam Beckett, Quinn Mallory, Wade Wells, Rembrandt Brown, Professor Maximillian Arturo, Ben Song, and Addison Augustine.

Difference between the two is that Quinn, Wade, Rembrandt, and Prof. Arturo, all went and got lost into parallel worlds. Dr. Sam Beckett, Dr. Song, and his wife, Addison are lost in SpaceTime.

Time Tunnel, while a decent show, was Irwin's least popular series. Why on Earth couldn't they have gotten Bill Mumy, Angela Cartwright, and Marta Kristen together and done a continuation of Lost In Space? These Time Tunnel audios are unlikely to do very well. Big Finish sure can make some bizarre choices.
