I did actually wonder if this was something they hadn't taken in to consideration allocating the EN members to teams. As it does seem like team yellow got the bulk the bilinguals, while team red had a few and team white literally only had Kiara.

Suisei carried the team spirit. She kept asking the En/Id members questions that broke the ice. I had all 3 teams opened and they were they liveliest by far (not helped by ririka's loud audio and bgm).

I love how it's been a trend with the last two JP gens that they seem to be way better at speaking English than previous gens on the whole. I don't know if this is simply that they are younger and maybe just remember more from school but it's a great skill to have nonetheless. From the clips that I've seen thus far, Ririka has the best English BY FAR with Kanade coming in second and now Hajime coming in third. I've heard no English from Ao-kun and very little from Raden so I believe this is the current ranking which excites me for the possibility of more EN and JP colalbs. I kind of hope that Calli brings back her English classroom series and brings in some of the ReGLOSS girls like she did with HoloX before.

I'm assuming that it's the hiring policy that's shifting and Cover's actively looking for people with good English. And yes, Calli-sensei is always fun!

I don't think that's true. We just got lucky with reGloss. Haachama, Subaru, and Choco have decent english, and they're from very early on. In HoloX, the gen right before reGloss, only Lui and Sakamata have decent English. In gen 5, none of them had decent English to start (Nene worked on hers a lot after debuting to get to the level she has now). I don't think there's any clear trend.

i think its just a natural progression... I mean, iirc it was sora(?) who said that since holoEN debut, a lot of western audiences watched jp member in streams... so jp members who suddenly have an influx of English speaking audiences naturally picked up some english to interact

I think part of is is also that hololive itself has grown to have a more international audience, the applicants its attracting are also more likely to be better english speakers.

IrYs has what is called "Heterochromia", which basically means she has 2 different colored eyes. It's pretty rare in humans, but more often seen in animals.

There are different types of heterochromia too. The one IrYs has is complete heterochromia where the eyes are each a seperate color. But there is also sectoral heterochromia wich can only affect one eye or indeed both but as the name implies only affects a portion of the eye. There is also central heterochromia wich is often just a ring or multiple rings of differing color around the iris, very hard to notice. Both of the latter ones and especially central heterochromia are not as rare as you would think. Only complete heterochromia is really rare in humans. So who knows, someone you know may have a form of partial heterochromia !
