2016 was the best overall. Yes. Smackdown Live was SO FREAKING GOOD. I literally sat through it every week, which seems like an impossible task in 2019. Every PPV was great. Good storylines. Good wrestling. Influx of new talents and great match ups. Good Title Scene in the second half. All in all, great year. However, somehow I feel 2012 is a very underrated year. It had the best WM of the decade and the best title run of the decade.

Take me back to Summerslam 2016 where: • Finn Balor became champion • Sasha was champion • Tjp was cruiserweight champion with the most catchy theme song • Dean Ambrose was Smackdown Champion •Aj Stlyes debuted and had his reign •The list of Jericho • Enzo and Cass were entertaining on Raw • Neville was the next big thing 😭😥 But just a special mention for sasha, i really think this was her year and Charlotte should not have been champion. Theres a sky sports poll where they survey the fans who was superstar of the year with thousands of votes and she won it which shows how over she was at the time. I'm Irish so the Irish talent is cool too but that's just coz their Irish, I dont consider any of them supremely talented. With the brand split, wwe championship being in smackdown and it being known as the land of opportunity I think wwe was slowly planting the seeds to get the FOX television deal. Imagine if smackdown was taped& re-run show of raw, would have FOX made that deal? That deal was one of wwe assets including raw, NXT television deal, network & Saudi Arabia deal in revenue for the wwe since wwe killed off its ppv business

I think it's 2018 the amount of amazing matches and storytelling we had in 2018 is just unparalleled. Gargano vs Almas, Gargano vs Ciampa, Garagno vs Black, Ciampa vs Dream, Adam Cole BAYBAY vs Ricochet, War Games, NA championship ladder match, Undisputed Era vs Moustache Mountain.....AJ vs Bryan, Bryan vs Brock, Becky vs Charlotte. 2016 was good no doubt but I think 2018 was overally much better.

My review of 2016: Dean Ambrose great push. Seth Rollins return. Debut of aj styles and shinsuka nakamura and Finn balor. Nxt being nxt. Shinsuka nakamura vs Sami zayn. Wrestlemania was good(I was there). The woman's evolution taken seriously. Charlottes title ran. All takeovers were great. The tag division was better. Smackdown was awesome. Aj styles gets the wwe championship and had the best debut year. And the miz being miz. The Chris Jericho list. And survivor series was my favorite ppv in recent memory.

It's hard to pick a "best year of the 2010s" decade in wrestling because there were so many ups & downs from each year that they kind of balance out. With the 90s, you can easily go with 1997-1999. With the 2000s,, you can go with 2002-2003 or 2005-2008. You also factor other promotions in their respective year, like how well TNA , NJPW, WCW, or AEW did.

So f*ck outta with your 2011 shit. And appreciate what happend in 2016.

One of the Best years of wwe. Because every single segment of every superstar felt something, it meant something. Great storylines. Great matches. Awesome debuts. Badass rivalries. The Return Of Seth Rollins at Extreme Rules 2016. The only 2 bad things in 2016 was Finn Balor's injury and Daniel Bryan retiring (I'm happy he's back to wrestling). I wish it never happened. Finn Balor could've been the Best Universal Champion with an awesome title reign. NXT, Raw and SmackDown were all stepping up their game. What an absolute FUCKING beautiful time WWE in 2016 had.❤️
