Had a good opportunity here to ask Jack more about Moto2 and Moto3. Especially being as Keith has been pretty vocal about both the classes getting the short straw...ie no warm up. So much raw talent in both classes.

@@moralthreat2745 There are four really top riders at the moment: Fabio, Pecco, Marc, Jorge. Hard to rank them 1-4 as they all can dominate. Pity the junk Fabio is riding. Many other riders in the second tier, win on their day, maybe get lucky and make a championship run. Acosta is currently second tier but could be approaching the top four by the end of the year.

The number coincidences in motorsport are quite amazing sometimes. Joe Roberts on 69 points as first US Championship leader since Nicky and Cal Crutchlow, racing with nber 35 all those years only to be the first British GP winner since Barry, 35 years previously🤷🏻‍♂️♥️I'm sure there have been many more over the years but they escape me now..

Great podcast, really, really great race (both) Happy seeing Jack on the podcast, I love watching him trying to hunt down someone, politely, to talk to on his Friday & Saturday Inside The Paddock video 😉 Oh and Zarco is my HERO it took the most laid back chill rider to finally say to Freddie's face what people have been saying behind his back for year. Now I like Freddie as a rider but this is not the job he's equipped to do. A Stuart Higgs or a similar type personally is what they need. Keep up the great work folks 👍

I saw the sprint incident like Brad... Bez dive bombed both him and Pecco, they were wide so he kept his inside line. Bez and Pecco were to desperate to cut it back and not lose out. But they are buddies so of course they wont blame each other.

A couple of further thoughts: i) The Binder, Pecco, Bezz coming together - For me Binder going for a half gap on Pecco's inside was reasonable; the problem was that Bezz was on Pecco's outside and coming in on the apex thus leaving no room for Pecco to sit it up etc. I don't think either Binder or Pecco could have anticipated that - although it might be argued that Bezz might have done! ii) I am sick of this tyre pressure rule !!! It doesn't seem to be ANYTHING to do with rider safety and VERY hard to avoid for a rider in the midst of traffic. SCRAP IT !!! Come Sunday Pecco left tyre marks on Marc's leathers - so he can definitely give it as well as take it. Re the rider movement market - if Marc can't get an up to date Ducati next year I'd love to see him on an Aprilia - or a KTM for that matter; although that seems less feasible given their existing rider lineup. Although .......................

Great, informative stuff as always, but the kind of abrupt ending makes me wonder why there's a time limit on these things (not just this podcast, but lots that i listen to)? Obviously you don't want to let Keith ramble on all day, but is there a hard limit imposed by one of the platforms you're on or something? Just curious how it works really! 😄

Think its difficult to be too hard on riders (Martin incident) making mistakes. These guys are on the limit of adhesion on practically every corner of every lap, a slip off is inevitable now and again (and more frequent when you are on a bike like the Honda!) Its not f1, where you have 4 massive tyres and huge contact patches. All the top guys in Moto Gp will likely send it up the road this year at some point.

I do flags & Coms at Phillip Island - which also has been known to have weepers (turn 12 comes to mind), so my question would be did they put 'Lack of Adhesion' flags out at that turn(s) once the riders started to crash? Actually from this year (in Phillip Island at least) you also have lights covering a lot of the turns - they are operated from the marshalling point but can be turned on from race control as well. If the appropriate flag was out and the lights were activated continuing to race makes more sense.

The calender kills wsbk. Far too many huge breaks between rounds, very little momentum. Also, I'm personally not a fan of the sprint race in wsbk (has it really improved since going to 3 races?). Ducati may be the bike to be on in Moto Gp at the minute, but look at the list of different winners per season in recent years in Moto Gp vs Wsbk (there are more in Moto Gp).

Always been a fan of Esparagro, and always ranked him higher than Pol. It is interesting how older riders can make up for that small amount of lost physical ability with experience. For a time anyway, then a seeming precipitous drop of competitiveness. Happened with Rossi the last year, looks like Aleix is dropping off now too. I had assumed it would remain Vinales/Espargaro next year at Aprilia, but have changed my mind that he may just retire rather than take a lesser ride. Seeing his brother nearly killed and then sent to pasture last year probably won't help his motivation. Take your millions, play with your kids, and be a brand ambassador for Aprilia for the next decade. Wouldn't be a bad life...

I wish I knew Jack Appleyard was this week’s guest. I would have asked if the commentators and interviewers could start to understand that for the viewership to grow you have to communicate with ALL of the audience. Dorna’s English language feed constantly talks only to a British audience. The feed goes to ALL English speaking countries and the rest of us would appreciate a few less local British references and also a more even handed coverage of riders from other English speaking countries. If an American doesn’t know what a “football” reference means then don’t exclude them by saying it. Having a commentary team recruited entirely from one country is not a solid basis for an internationally telecast sport. What we have IS a solid commentary team but can they please make an effort to connect with us out here? Please?
