Is 2024 Paladins’ last year?

This game really deserves to be remade on a better engine and code base because its current foundation is really sloppy. It's not just the bugs. Recently I've rewatched xqc's old gameplay of paladins and he described the issue I have with it really well. It's especially apparent when you are lagging. The movement and collisions feel rubbery, like you're walking in mud. It's not snappy and responsive like in other games.

I’ve heard that apparently the current CEO has been pumping all of their money into Smite and Smite 2 (both dead as hell) but that they are going to be getting a different CEO soon so the new boss could start investing into Paladins again. If they can fix the bugs and advertise the game I genuinely think the game could have a resurgence that would give them more money to work with.

Started playing in 2016 then quit in 2017 when I bought OW. Now with OW2 I wanted to check back on this game and sad to see that it is on life supply pretty much.

To be honest, this year has seen so many good changes that it's hardly unlikely it will literally die. It may go under when SMITE 2 releases, or it may blow up again like in 2017. Time will tell.

thanks god the art director has gone. most of the skins released other than 3 or 4 have been awful the past few years. its like they have just painted directly onto the model, no new polygons added to put a texture on, just slap it straight on there.

I did actually notice that with some of the skins. You can definitely see it on Doom Bringer and Flame Bringer Seris skins.

Everyone that plays Paladins right now thinks it's fun. Then why aren't any new players coming to the game? Why isn't it so popular? It really deserves being more popular...

A lot of my friends think it's a clone of overwatch and don't play it for that reason but I keep telling them otherwise I am far from a frequent player I'll play for a few weeks every year but it's really fun whenever I play it but gets stale when there's no teamwork

Anyways i dont think paladins will shut down this yr. You should look at the hirez company....Rouge company is the next game that will inevitably shut down. That game has to shut down before we even speak of paladins since pala has an actual player base. I think 2025-26 at best for pals. Rouge should be 24 but we'll see

Paladins is sooo awful clowns are staying in base....In overwatch youd get banned for that eventually. In paladins you can stay in base for for 50-100 games and get 0 consequences....hell you could spread em out a tiny bit and get away with it for good measure. You have players openly admitting they throw games or stay in base in the fking chat of this game, one of even added "it's a calling card".🤦‍♂️ 0 ban. It's insanity/ madness...ive seen the players like this and looked up their paladins guru accounts & they've actually done it and were not banned proving my point.🙄

The game is garbage .....it used to be better then overwatch but it's gotten so bad that you can't even compare it to overwatch 1. You could compare it to "2" but even that is a piece of garbage slop so it's not saying much.😬 It's soo bad the devs are looking into making it 6v6 again. ---The players you can compare tho and I'd say paladins players are dumb fools....They'll either AFK, stay in base in casual or rank & not one time in casuals or rank-when I played overwatch for 100 hours + did I encounter any of that.

UK servers loool 😂 For the cosmetic bug just press esc key And those are not even the worst ones, the infinite loading screen is worst for sure, ya need to delete a file for that also the audio bug where I hear my enemies behind me is more annoying. And no there will be no Paladins 2 cuz Smite 2 sucks.

I wanna add lastly that i feel overwatch players are waay better to an extent. That game requires mechanical skill right? Paladins NOW** is such an EAAASY game as it is, its not that hard to aim at all. The characters are very forgiving & brainless to play....Yet you see players who cant even do the BARE minimum. They cant do the basics at all being level 300-999 profile level. The only way i think you get away from this is at the Platinum & diamond level in ranked. ---You will get bronze players in this game trying to talk like they're diamond... they'll try blaming the people actually carrying the game & doing most everything right aka the plat or dia player. ---I say *NOW Because ever since esports shutdown the goal of hirez was to continually dumb down/ casualize the game to exteme levels. Make nearly every character forgiving, buffing drogoz, willo, omen was buffed back to where he was broken again. Paladins took Hella skill back then. ----I just hope paladins 2 brings us back to those esports time when balance mattered & alot took skill.
