I bought it for 104 000 free xp. According to the fact that I had 70000+ free xp anyway, this tank effectively cost me about 3-4 Euros (which is even greater deal because I don't spend real money on premium tanks).

@@ChronologicalGamer you Def need an aiming device or vertstabs to play this thing, but I think it is a major plus that it has the inverted autoloader. You can dump a mag and not feel sorry about it. And if you are flanking you just stock up again. Great credit generator.

WOT console has this "problem" but 10x fold, we have so many tanks that are already in the game but with a style. It's only kinda annoying because the game doesn't show the actual tank name instead it shows the skin name, example, our t26e4 shows up as "freedom" so unless you remember the name, you don't know what you're fighting until you see the tank.

Ever since they brought modern vehicles I left because its shit the ui is terrible, the map terrible, everything about the modern update lost me and other veteran's. Supported console version for about 6 years all gone to waste

@@Sten05 The old UI is coming back at some point (confirmed by Wargaming in their discord) AND the remastered maps are mainly PC ports. The CW custom maps are ok, but that CW city map is TRASH. The twenty five perk crews being reduced to NINE perks is what pissed me off personally.

One of my favourite tanks. Vstab, vents, rotation device imo. The same reverse autoreloading mechanic should be applied to T62a to make it relevant again.

Already have the IS-3A, so no point in getting the Peregrine. I use vents, aiming device, vert stabs, though used to use rotation device instead of vert stabs. When it's fully empty it essentially turns into a regular IS-3, so you're never waiting long.

Skillfu babon made a video saying he is going to spend 250k. But he do not really want it... Wales in this game. But allot of people seems to be trying to stay around 100k. The Object was 20 000 0000 credits. Most players do not have that kind of credits to spend out of no where. Most players got what? At best 200k free XP. Before buying consumables I had about 20mil credits. But since WG never mentioned a action was going to take place they can keep there Objects and put them where the sun do not shine. And I have above 150k free xp. 7 years. 100% fp2. And I barely have the funds for this action. And most players that are going to be willing to spend money in the game got a IS3A or some kind of premiums to make the deal look pointless. So unless we got allot of wales that wants a skin for a half bad premium that they already got. I had put the price around 150k free XP for the IS3A. But since WoT is so bad I'm sure I will be wrong. 110k or 200k+ min bid. No one wants it or to many are trying to score a free Russian prem. Edit: My bid 177k. Since I'm done trying to grind tech tree when the game is getting worse and worse. IS3A is perfect to dump and quit if the MM is awful. Still making credits even with bad MM? Sounds more fun then playing my love that is IS3. Cost credits to play IS3 competitive. Or just for fun! Screw XP and tier 8-10.

In answering of your question why they have to release it as a whole new tank: money. There are always those crazed collectors that buy gold to convert exp/credits to buy these tanks and thats where they cash in. It has been obvious for years how WG acts that theyre just rather evil money grabbers but as long as there are plenty of wallet warriors that throw that money to them they will keep doing it with more consistency. Its also why they are releasing these auctions/black markets every 2 months now instead of once a year. Things like balancing the game, nerfing op tanks/buffing potato tanks are literally so far down their to do list you might wonder whether its even on there. Its why when they do finally nerf or boost something they completely break it for better of worse. The team is so disconnected from the game they know nothing about it because theyre too busy thinking of ways to get more cash in the pocket. WG also has the single worst customer support in any game ive ever played. Their response is literally always “its probably you”. Couple of updates back i kept disconnecting out of nothing which was definitely not an issue on my side, i never have firewall issues and i always play with another online game in the background which runs without lag or issues while WoT disconnects. And its fixed 2 updates down because presumably thousands of other players report the same issue. But yeah of course reply to my ticket with “check your connection, router, call your provider” everytime. I still play this game from time to time but they aint getting a penny from me with this type of maniacal behaviour.

When i saw the auction for free xp, i checked multiple times that they realy sell the real IS-3A. After being sure i bid 183.000 free xp and became one. Now i read in the comments that some people get him for much less. But it's okay for me because i had that amount of free xp on my account. So i didn't had to spend gold for exchange. And now im a proud owner of my first IS-3A. Practically just from grinding free xp. I have friends in my clan they spended up to 200€ to get their hands on a IS-3A in the 2018 xmas lootboxes.

Surprised you haven’t noticed it, but ever since they let go of the RU market (huge economic loss), the cash grabbing has gone up the roof! The premium tanks are being rotated more and more often in the shop, and these kinds of events are getting more and more common. So yea, that’s the consequence of letting go of a huge chunk of yearly income, you do whatever you can so the players put more of their money in the game.

I had an IS-6, traded it in for a more competitive tank. I also have a Defender and an IS-5, so I don't really need another Soviet Heavy. Might shell out to buy the KV-5 off the bonds shop for the lulz, but it's not a must have vehicle, so I'm still unsure about it. Good luck to those that will try to get it. I feel WG really missed an opportunity with the Black Market. If they wanted to introduce separate tanks, they should have made all black market tanks, have an unalterable, black style (just like the IS6B and the T34B et al). That way, you get the tank but you pay a price for having a "cheap knockoff". Where, of course, the price is probably not so cheap but everybody knows you got the black market version. Everybody wins. For what it's worth I think a Type 59B would look infinitely better than a Type 59G. I'd also bid for an IS-3aB.

I went ahead and bid 25M for the 268V5 on the NA server and got it. I had built up some credits over the time so it was money I could part with. My Free Xp is kind of low so I could offer a minimum bid, but that's about it for the IS-3A Peregrine

If you don’t like the obj 268 V5 being sold again after 6 months. Then you’d definitely hate the foch 155 being added in the bond store for 12000 bonds when it was just sold in the trading caravan for 20000 bonds 4 months prior.

The downside to this tank however, is that it has the stock IS-3 turret. Meaning its base reload is better then a fully upgraded IS-3 reload (better turret on IS-3 makes the reload a second longer). But it also means the IS3A does not have a good armor layout on its turret.

The armor is more than good enough, considering how dangerous the autoreloader makes that gun. The turret has 300mm and more effective armor from front and fairly small weak points.

The gun on the IS-3A is for close battle can't be used as a sniper. I got the tank before it was a auto loader. This tank very good. My set up vents ,turbo ,vertical stabilizers same as QuickyBaby. The faster the tank the more damage you do . I am a beta player the only thing you're doing here is buying the skin on this map never stay middle you will ether die or lose too much hp it only good to shoot middle and leave.

You are wrong QB, IS3-A is nothing like IS3. It's got way worse armor, sidescraping is only possible in reverse as it's sides are much softer than regular IS 3. Top of the turret is easily overmatched by almost anything thanks to that little flap that goes above gun. Front armor is thinner also, and not angled as well as it is on IS 3. I still love that tank, played over 2000 games with it but it's very opportunistic vehicle. You have to pick your chances carefully because you get penned so easily. I use stabs, rotation and vents, as otherwise snap shots are impossible except in close quarters.

Considering the tradein XP to gold value and you do NOT already have the IS-3A in your garage, I think its a great opportunity to own it. A 2500 to 4k relative comparison cost vs buying it straight out of the gold shop is a fantastic price IF you have the free XP/Gold laying around. 111k free xp? that would be 17 euros if you convert gold to free xp with normal ratio. that is still a bargain. everything below 20 euros of gold is a great buy. especially because i thought it would be expensive because a lot of F2P players could get a great tank. well i think there are not that many F2P players anymore. because my 450K bid(61 euros) was way to high😁

You mentioned the x5 XP Missions. Sometimes, they were described as "an optional x5 experience," but there is nothing optional about them. As soon as you get your second victory in any vehicle, even in a tier 1 vehicle, the x5 kicks in. Can WG make it truly optional like the 5 x3 manageable bonus to experience that we get everyday?

I've played the IS3A as a rental and did great in it and liked it. I've been waiting to get one, and since I have the experience saved up I can get it free instead of buying it for real money at the Premium Shop. The new style is just a bonus. If you can't afford it, don't get it

Even though some are disappointed because they already have an IS-3A. I am happy to get a free tier 8 Premium tank and IS-3A is one of my favourites after I used it as a 10 day rental. not spending real money for that is worth it

In wot blitz they will put a new tank in crates and then in 6 months to a year they end up selling the tank except for a couple like the ae pase 1 that's supposed to be rare

It appears they are doing the same thing they are doing in WOTB. You can just buy these premium tanks even if they are in crates. The only 2 tanks that you can't get in Blitz is the AE and Kampanzer T50 because they are a 0.05% drop chance in crates.

Well, I got an original IS-3A and today I got Peregrine. Paid about 110k free exp. True there is no difference between those two except a style. Now time to go and confuse people in the fights. So when the time comes to sell IS-3A whenever I get a chance, I probably will. Otherwise, what is the point of having two identical tanks except maybe to play a Frontlines?! But perhaps it is just a waste of a good 110k free exp.

Got it in loot boxes and love it but rarely get to play it because i spend most of the time grinding techtree’s, great tank to make credit and good for new players but not idiot proof like the defender. Like the is3 it has many weak spots but great reverse side scraping.
