Everything I own from Wolftooth has been rock solid. I was tempted to get this tool, but opted for the Daysaver. The small bits are a problem with Daysaver too, but thankfully I haven’t dropped one yet. The Daysaver system doesn’t have as many tricks up its sleeve as the Wolftooth 8-bit system.

Dig it.... I've pieced together a nice repair setup, based on the Daysaver tool, and hacking up some other random multi-tools for the chain breaker and pliers. Yet as much of a weight weenie as I am, during races, there are a few redundancies I'm okay with; lights, gloves, tire plug and allen keys... I keep the fancy bit-based tools buried in my repair kit but carry a 45g Park Tool MT-1 in the top tube bag. With its simple one piece design, its easy to use on the common bolts that work themselves loose(seatpost binder, cleat, aero-bars) even with the dreaded numb fingertips, and while still rolling... cause #secondsaddup ✌

I have one of these and love it. Light and super compact. I only have ONE complaint, the bits inside the tool are tiny and can fall out. If you are out somewhere and those tiny tool inserts fall into the grass, they are fine to find. :/

yup. or if they get consumed by a savage ant lion.

I'd probably buy it if they made it in bright colors. It's a pretty huge oversight to make small tools difficult to see.

Great review. I consider multi-tools like this a backup when you may/or may not have packed other bit tools. The Silca Titanium torque set at a similar price and far less comprehensive functionality (if one discounts the torque wrench itself) seems to be one of the remarkably few bit tools (bike or otherwise) with shiny bits & clear red size labelling. I want both!! :D

My god… Silca tools are waaaayyy above my pay grade 🕺🏻

How does this tool work with brake caliper bolts? It seems there may be some clearance challenges.
@TheEnduranceStudio8 ай бұрын
on my XTR four piston brakes on my Specialized Epic Evo, the clearance is VERY tight but it would get the job done in a pinch.

I have the bar end kit as well as the quick lick lever. I haven't had to use them much but it seems to be quality like all the Wolftooth stuff I have.

thanks for watching. I've always wondered about the bar end kit - how do you like it? Would you buy it again?
@tracerxrider9 ай бұрын
@@TheEnduranceStudio similar experience as you; small, dark bits and o-rings. Feels delicate and easy to lose but the quality is there. I wouldn't buy again though. Price is a bit high and when you consider other "hidden" tools kits, OneUp, Giant, etc. Seems a bit overpriced although I own a lot of their accessories (B-rad, Cages, etc).

What the hell. I was searching around yesterday for a proper review of these, because i debated buying one of them. Thank you! 😁

Sidenote. I'm also becoming a wolftooth fanboy. After getting a new frame I converted my hubs with a boostinator from wolftooth to fit my new frame. Truly simple but innovative products.
