I used this machete today to try cutting some over growth over my driveway. It was all just small branches under 3/4 inch and some vines. I gave up on this machete. It was like trying to chop through a tractor tire with a gummy worm. I pulled out my old half rusted machete I got from a yard sale 20 years ago and it made short work of the over growth even though it was pretty dull.

That little hole is the lanyard hole, just in the wrong part of the handle. Zombie-Go-Boom tested this out, was barely able to damage a zombie head, and one of the crew was able to bend the blade with their bare hands.

For a cheap blade not too bad. But I’d spend more and get a good one.

Is it a great blade? No. Is it better than having no blade at all? Yes. Can you do much better if can afford it? Also yes.

This is actually a really good blade

If you want to know if a blade is useful, try openly carrying it around town and see if anyone notices.🤣

Very handy for the money … I believe that hole maybe to hang it in a shed ? Maybe I’m wrong

I thought maybe it was for a lanyard. It looks like it has enough rivets to hold the handle on.

Made.a.video by making a bush knife out of it. Put it to the test and came out good.

It's for "cigarettes" so you don't burn your lips

If you are using it for any length of time, thats actually a bonus... I have a couple of extra thick stainless steel machetes f(or acidic woods/ brush clearance...) They are NO fun if you need to use them for a few hours on a job. ounces make pounds... and pounds matter when you're swinging.

Bamboo?

Japanese knot weed. Bamboo's ugly step sister. Nasty stuff. Parts of it, at certain stages, are edible though; so there's that.

I think you would have done better just swinging a shovel man
