I have a suggestion that might be helpful. I don't know if I can explain it in a way that makes sense or not. One thing you might try in terms of finding something to sit the heater on that won't be affected by the heat is this. If you go to Lowe's or Home Depot, you can find these large ceramic tiles that are made for making (I guess) tile floors or tile walls. They are large enough to sit the heater on and they don't burn. I use them in my bedroom to sit hot pots and pans on and anything else that's too hot to sit on any other surface. They're also really cheap. Like $3 each or something.

Here’s a big mistake you’re making. Your exhaust pipe needs to be aimed down around 30 degrees minimum. The muffler on the end has a small hole on one side to let water out. The hole needs to be on the bottom facing the ground. Over time you will get error codes and it will shut off. If runs more efficient this way too and will last longer.

I have an 8k vevor in my 12'x8' cabin . It keeps it comfortable. Even on the coldest nights . It takes it about an hour to hour and a half to get it cozy. My exhaust and combustion intake are ran straight down out of the floor under the heater then it angles downward to allow condensation drainage. I was using a little buddy propane heater but on really cold nights it sucked through the propane. Cost up to $20 a night . The vevor will run all night and the next day for about $3

That's the very heater that I had in my Amz cart. But I've removed it. Long story short, there's a lot of very bad reviews, both on Amz and their own Canada site! Reviews are about their seriously poor, sketchy support, refusal to help and problems with new heaters sent to people. There's more, but the stupid YT algo seems to like to delete my comments if they're too long. That company needs to do better.

*UPDATE TO THIS...* This morning I received a message from the seller of this Vevor heater, about shipping and even though, they have a presence right here, close to me, they "can't guarantee to ship via Canada Post* even though the strike is over. They just lost a sale and future customer! I do not deal with companies with such bad service and support. My $$$ can be used elsewhere! I've also read a lot of seriously negative reviews, both on Amaz. and their own website!!! It's not looking good. Their customer support is horrible and for some reason, what used to be considered a great product, may be going through some quality issues! Besides Vevor support being uncooperative, there are a lot of complaints about heaters arriving that either, don't work out of the box or work for a few hours and just stop. People reach out to support and have to play the email email who's got the email game for weeks and they still don't get proper support, most of the time. I've removed the heater and will NOT deal with such a company.

Where can I buy the exhaust 6ft from
@ShaneZettelmier10 күн бұрын
I seen a lot of these and they all seem to be very similar. I think it’s a great idea but I do think the fact that you’re using a fuel based heater makes it kind of dangerous. They’re kerosene and even propane heaters you can use indoors but again you’re dealing with fuel. You get a fuel leak And then you have combustible leaking in your tent or in your house and this always bugs me. The thing I like about about these things I I could put it outside and just run the heat exhaust tube into the house and the remote makes that much more functional And I like that is very little power so I can use it in a power out situation where I can charge a battery during the day and run this all night without having to run a gas generator during the day but I do think you need to have a specific area that is going to be Able to deal with the fire hazard potential of it or people and animals aren’t going to be walking and screwing with it and it is kinda loud, I wouldn’t want to have that sitting in a small cabin or a tent and listen to that combustion tick all night long so having it outside just seems like a no brainer, and I think getting the extended exhaust so you can get it away from you in your house or your tent or vehicle is a good idea also. I think the biggest advantage here is you need very little power. You could hook this up to a car battery and run it all night on a gallon of fuel so I think it’s worth the trade off. I would much rather use an electric oil heater/radiator but They take a lot of electric and sometimes that’s an issue. I think this would be the great option, especially since I live way out in the country and every time we get an ice storm or high winds we lose power sometimes for four or five days and this is something I could store in my garage that’s gonna be there For years as long as his electronics hold out the mechanicals in this are very simple and they’re very cheap, and if you’ve got tractors and diesel fuel around, it just makes sense. I also thought it would be good just for something like a garage heater just to be used intermittently like if I have to go work on a car or a tractor in the middle of Winter, especially if the electricity is off. As far as your comment on the cheap ones and the expensive ones, I’ll be honest these all look almost identical to me. I’m guessing they all come off of Alibaba out of some Chinese company and they just make a ton of them and people put their own stickers on them And there are a few different designs but I don’t see any difference and being that by nature I’m gonna be keeping this outside anyway. I’ve got no problem with the cheap versions. They’ve definitely got their bad sides and they’re not perfect but for a back up they seem to be pretty dependable and economical and easy so it’s 20 below on your power goes out. It’s something you’re not gonna be spending a lot of time messing around with and the mechanics are simple enough And almost maintenance free so it’s not something like a generator that you’re gonna constantly be maintaining it dealing with an actual engine transmission and generator components so I like it simplicity and they’re cheap so it’s not like you’ve thrown away hundreds of dollars if you don’t like it. One of the best options I can see for this isn’t a home for emergency storm stuff. I remember Texas they had a big snowstorm a couple years ago and peoples pipes were blowing up because they don’t really insulate or sometimes even close in underneath their houses and the crawlspace and pipes were breaking and people had a lot of issues, this is something you could stick outside and blow some hot air under your house and not have to worry about that.

The 2024 model is nice! no ticking, No bottom exhaust no intake tube and a CO detector with auto shut off (still wouldn't completely trust their CO detector).
@BlondieHappyGuyАй бұрын
But on that new model, isn't it true that they no longer have the air filter intake for the combustion chamber? Isn't it just taking in air from the vents in the box itself? If so, then if mounted inside, that thing creates a negative pressure situation, which of course could bring in cold air from any cracks and such. Don't they refer to those types as "one hose " or "one tube"?? something like that.
