What do you think about hydraulic clutches? Do you run one on your bike?

Put a magura kit on my RM250. Wasn't an easier pull but its consistent, smoother, precise and when you've flogged the clutch no need to deal with re adjusting manually. I also don't like ktms on off feel and bleeding it off the bike is so much easier than on the bike.

I have a 22 kxf250 and I dont really like the hydraulic clutch. While its maintence is way better, its pull isnt easier than the cable clutch of the 2020 and the feeling isnt the best either. I find it a bit difficult to be used precisely

I’m a huge fan of it. I like it way better on the Yamaha than the cable clutch. I don’t think the feel of the hydraulic clutch is bad. I like the engagement point of the hydraulic clutch better, also.

When doing Harescramble's or Enduro or even Hard Enduro I riding 2 plus hours straight the cable clutch just wares your arm out . I love my hydraulic with the mid west eng. lever . 1 finger pull all day long and I still don't burn up my clutch . Will usually last at least 2 yrs before need replacement .

That's weird what wears out on the hydralic clutch that you'd have to replace it after 2 yrs, I get replacing clutch plates like all clutches after time, But to have to replace a hydraulic clutch doesn't make any sense to me?

I only replace my clutch aprox every 3 to 4 yrs . I'm not hard on clutches

I liked the Magura on Svartpilen 401. But a/m conversions will never be as good as a hydro designed engine. There is extra friction and flex in the linkage of the the cable clutch. Hydro designed systems don't have any give past the slave cylinder.

Do they make an aftermarket lever for it. Such as ASV?
@rmatvmc8 ай бұрын
It doesn't look like there are aftermarket levers available for this system.

probably all aftermarket clutch levers for KTM work with this kit KTM uses the 10mm master cylinder, this GYTR is a 9mm, also Brembo I've used a aftermarket lever on a Sherco that is 9mm, that works also with KTM 10mm, the clutch modulation is just slightly different. 10mm is more "on off", 9mm is "better". Also 9mm has a lighter pull

In general I prefer the cable to the KTM magura and brembo bikes I've owned. The light pull is nice but I don't care for the on/off feel and the small window of engagement.

I agree that some of the hydraulic brakes have that "on/off" sensation compared to a cable clutch. This clutch isn't quiet as linear as the cable, but it's still pretty dang good. It's all rider preference, but I've been really happy with it. - Chase

Kris: I hate it Chase: I love it Wow, I'm torn now...kidding.🤣 Is there an option for the 23' YZ250F?

😂😂 GYTR doesn't have an option for that bike but Magura doesn. You can check it out here: www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/magura-hydraulic-hymec-clutch-p

since 2009 something clicked on Yamaha and they only care about saving cent's and that's why we have this abomination's.
