Hopefully this is the last time I take the budget night bus... ☠ Would you take this bus to save some money?? ALSO!! Videos I filmed in OSAKA coming next week! 🇯🇵
@kohlikt2 жыл бұрын

I've taken night buses before, but only for day trips. I think they're a decent choice in that situation since the excitement during the day helps counteract the sleep I didn't get on the bus last night, and I can usually sleep okay on the way back. If I were in Japan I'd probably try to take an overnight ferry if I wanted to go a long distance for cheapish.

@@BabyPepperPotMay2009 Thank you! Also the bus was dark enough no one can really see you use it, so it's less embarrassing!

I’ve done it a bunch of times, and I liked it. But it seems you were on the super no-frills kind of bus. Now that you’ve done that, you should totally splurge and do a fancy bus ride somewhere! Like the buses with a reclining seat, and your own private little room with a door, and tv - and these buses often have bathrooms too! lol

Love that you're following through with the videos this month! *ahem* You're beating Emma... The bus ride looked a bit rough. I might have to shoot an overnight bus from San Francisco to Los Angeles video to see what they're like these days. You've inspired me! And if it's awful I get to blame you! Thanks Sarah!

There are literally a ton of Japanese night-busses that let you almost fully recline. Totally worth the extra few bucks to wake up well rested.

I took an overnight bus from Tokyo to Osaka a while back when my Japanese was still very bad. We got to a rest stop and the last 5 minutes I went to get some snacks and go to the bathroom. When I came out I remember just seeing a whole bunch of buses and not remembering which one was mine. I may have caused the driver to be a few minutes late departing because I was trying to look at all the signs on the bus to see which one was mine.

Oh my gosh me too 🥺 I get a little worried each time I head back after the break cause they really all do look the same & the car park is sooo big!

@@seerasan Could take a picture on your phone of your bus..so you'll have the number plate and any distinguisable markings..So when you come back..look at the picture to find the bus!..Then once the journey is over..you can delete the picture.. You could take a picture at every stop...so you could see where it is parked...Just an idea.

Thank you so much for sharing and taking us along with you and your Bestie Sarah! I still take the night bus into consideration. It reminded me of a 1 € (yep you've read right) bus trip I took a few years ago from Munich to Berlin. We did had the luxury of a toilet in the bus though. 🚽✨

I took a night bus from Hiroshima to Kobe a few years back. It was in the winter so I was bundled up, and I found the bus to be uncomfortably hot inside. I baked all night and couldn't sleep much because of it. Otherwise I think it would have been comfortable.

Melbourne to Canberra night bus, also RIP to the next day. I thought my night bus days were behind me but $30 to Osaka is intriguing..
@seerasan2 жыл бұрын
Ooft that sounds pretty rough. How much does that trip cost?
@kevinl49312 жыл бұрын
@@seerasan Apparently 100 bucks, oft. We also had a little while at a random middle of the night transport stop. Seems like a bad night's sleep is more appealing overseas. Where else have you used them? And how are Japan's long haul ferries?
@MartinJ862 жыл бұрын
Not so sure about the bus but the overnight / sleeper trains like the Sunrise sound more appealing! I guess for the price and if you can get to sleep easily enough it's really not bad though!

in my trip to Japan, me and my friends were going to Osaka. The problem was, they all bought their Shinkansen tickets before hand and I didn't lol. luckily there was still tickets available because if not, I was gonna take this overnight bus ride to Osaka. And after seeing this video, I know I would have been uncomfortable due to my height (195cm). But still though, it looks like it would have been fun to take this bus ride.

I’m planning on taking a night bus from Osaka to Kyoto on my trip and this is super helpful!! I REALLY wanna go to that rest area it looks SO cool :3 also yah I’m on a budget and the bus both saves on a night accommodations and also saves time as you are progressing vs having to get up early to catch a train or flight. Also I can sleep pretty easy on flights and buses
I honestly have no idea i'm subscribed to that channel but i kinda enjoyed what i saw! That looks way more safer than taking a bus here in Thailand, not much because of weirdos but car/bus accidents being pretty common on a daily basis :/ Have a great week ahead and keep on traveling! P.S.: Can I borrow your eyes, they are so beautiful

I can't really sleep sitting up in a vehicle. It's the worst. Last year, I had two trips with overnight flights and I arrived completely confused and exhausted for both trips. I would only do an overnight on any sort of transit if I had no other viable options. Edited to add: I started watching your videos recently after seeing you with Emma in some TC videos, and I'm really enjoying them. I'm hoping to visit Japan sometime in the next couple of years and I'm getting lots of ideas for things to do.

@LetsGo-wl5zo2 жыл бұрын
I took a 'luxury' bus (head hood and more leg space) from Kyoto to Tokyo, to safe time (and money). It was decent, but I also couldn't sleep so much... It is a nice way of traveling, for People who can sleep easily. What you already mentioned. I'll reconsider next time.
@seerasan2 жыл бұрын
Ahh I would like to try one of those someday! Seems to be a lot of “luxury” bus options popping up, but somehow like you, I don’t think I’ll be able to get a proper rest either on it haha
save you a higher cost but convenient shorter time Shinkansen and also cost of a hotel . This is clearly a budget travel if you can sleep on the bus .
