That means if I lift that pen mouse and move it 2 inches to the right before putting it down, the cursor stays at the same area. A pen from a tablet, however, would move the mouse way into the right if I did the same thing.

Pros: -Small and ergonomic for all hand size, good for people who carries laptop all over the place. -Pretty sensitive to movement, you can pull some really fast camera turn in shooter games with ease. -Lightweight, it's only a little bit heavier than a real pen. Cons: -Short battery life, this thing only uses a single triple a battery so you have to change the battery more often. -Imprecise control, pin point accuracy is really hard with this mouse. -Bad build quality, it breaks after 8 months from regular use for me. -Terrible for drawing, sorry fellow artist, you're not getting a cheap drawing pad with this. This is what I've found out after using this mouse. It's honestly best suited for people who needs to carry around laptop for whatever reason, be it for work or college. Ironically, this mouse is not suited for gamers or artist.

I’d recommend using a mouse tablet instead of that pen mouse, it’s basically the same thing but instead of having the mouse track it’s own movement, it’s on a tablet that tracks with absolute positioning

The drawing is directly related to the fact that you aim train. Me, I’ve played controller all my life and I’ve tried to make the switch to keyboard to no avail. I’ve used a similar style “mouse pen” and I found my coordination to be way better and responsive, it was mainly for school work and projects as I suck with keyboard in general for games, typing I have no problem, the moment I have to click certain keys, my brain just shuts off. It depends on what you’re brought up using. People will swear by mouse and keyboard and I’ll never understand it. How is a bunch of key all group super close leaving room for misclicks and a mouse that is being used to navigate 3D worlds from 2d movement, the better choice?

But can you use it all day? A normal mouse allows a very light touch with almost no tension. I can cross my 27" screen with about 3/4" of movement, zero weight and it doesn't fall over when I put my hands on the keyboard. Holding a pen is much more stressful (thinking back to my exam days) and picking it up for small movements (like clicking the "comment" button) is much harder.

It's because you MUST hold that wireless "pen" at a specific angle and orientation for it to work, while an actual pen can rotate, twist, and move around a lot and still work. Compare that pen to the kind of pen you see digital artists use (example: Wacom Intuos 4 pen). You'll probably have a better time. There is a reason why digital pen/keyboard combo is popular in precision games like OSU

I mean it’s a 80 dollar peripheral compared to a 10 dollar peripheral what do you expect. The laser within the mouse is going to be made better and you can even tell by how bright and large the optical laser is on the pen mouse it’s going to recognize it’s being moved more than the mouse it’s self. (And the 302 Logitech mouse is one of the best mice I’ve ever owned so it’s just the fact it’s a superior peripheral)

I would say, Switch mouse clicking on that pen mouse to keyboard, you will get a higher score, especially with mechanical keyboard. but the problem is that it's not really good for all use, but for "aim" only, such as Osu! is a lot better than a mouse, But then again, I would use drawers pen for such purpose since that has better tracking

I'd say that pen is simply a weird in between, because it still uses relative positioning. Try a pen tablet with absolute positioning (i.e. top left corner of the tablet corresponds to top left of the screen), especially for drawing. Will be pretty useless for fps though, there only relative works properly^^

Got one of these a few months ago as an uber-compact mouse. It's now collecting dust while I use a cheap, normal travel mouse. My main issue is you need to hold it at the specific angle it's designed for or it won't register. My comfortable writing angle is nearly 90 degrees, so having to hold it at roughly 45 to use it isn't great.

weird mouse is weird, but also the pen is poorly designed because of the human tendency to lift it when not actively drawing. I would recommend a trackball instead for the pen (something like the old blackberry navball) so that you can still move it around, but you click by pressing down on the surface like you're supposed to do
