You have no idea how grateful I am for you including the off-axis noise rejection test. I'm hoping to purchase two MV7Xs and use them for me and my gf who share an office, but we both hate it when our voices pop up on each other's mics.

It is a very important test. I try to give as real world examples as I can. Thank for checking out the video!

I got the mv7x with a sm7b windscreen replacement on it but I did purchase a at2040 to try it out. I do like the look of the at2040 a bit more but I’m going to see which one fits my voice better. Plus I would save plenty of 💰 if I do decide to keep the at2040.

It really comes down to the sound you’re looking for. I think the 2040 is too mid forward for my taste. Thanks for checking out the video!

Using the podmic more and more, make me realize how much i misjudged the mic and Im glad i didn't get the shure mv7. Shure it could sound great on my voice or it could sound awful and I wasted 250 dollars on a mic. The podmic sounds great on everyone I have seen use it and I don't regret buying it

It's all about finding the right fit. It takes time and research to get it just right. The good thing is you found out what works for you. Now if you ever want to upgrade or change you know where to start with the research. Thanks for checking out the video!

Been doing more voiceover work with my Podmic, but I feel I stumble upon a few hiccups here and there (like when I pronounce Ws and Hs) even with a WS2 windscreen. While it sounds great, it can get annoying. Could this be the sign? Is the #ZDM1Mob calling me? Oh no.

I would say, look into proper microphone techniques. Meaning, mic placement and how you speak into it. Also train yourself to not make those little mistakes. Voice acting is just as much a exercise as any work out. It takes time and a lot of practice. The microphone can only do0 so much when it comes to plosive rejection. My suggestion is use a condenser mic and get your technique down. A condenser will pick up more detail and with that detail comes the mistakes. Which is a good thing because you will know where you can improve. Best of luck with the voice over stuff. Let me know if you need any help getting the technique right. I'm always looking to improve myself as well. Thanks for checking out the video buddy!

Which one lasts longer normally?

Based on the build quality I would say the AT2040. But if you take care of the mic then both will last a long time. Thanks for checking out the video!
