I'm definitely on the long beard train. I personally feel a lot better and have a lot more positive feedback from others as my beard has gotten longer. There are days it gets a little testy, but i just pop it in a braid and i then get compliments on the braid also. Braids and knots are a good way to dress it up or get it out of the way for activity. I cant wait for it to get even longer. For me, the routine is the most enjoyable part. yes, it takes time, but there's just something about combing through a big long beard, it's actually therapeudic.

I personally like having a longer beard, Ive had short, it looked good, but long is more my style. I actually find that having a long beard strikes up conversations, I dont think Ive ever gone out to a bar and not have someone compliment me on my beard, someone always mentions it, asks for tips, wants to touch it. But yyeah what ever your style is, just go for it, enjoy it.

You're absolutely correct regards to what other people think about long beards, my beard is grey.. I'm in my 50s.. Bumped into a relative I'd not seen in quite a while .. Her jaw dropped and she said.. Get that off! Do you want to look old.. So I had a complex about the length.. I ended up cutting it to about quarter of an inch.. Instantly regretted it.. Now back on the path to length again 😩

It depends on your face and body fat level. If you are lean and have a lean face then a short beard will look better because your face has the sharp angles. If you’re overweight then a longer beard will look better because you can shape that for angles.

Great video! I prefer a shorter beard bc I’m too lazy to get up and style it in the morning. Plus self esteem plays a role as well. I feel like it doesn’t fit me with a longer beard

Talking and trimming at the same time - you must be the bravest man in the world 😀! On my way to a yeard I saw a better beard in it and cut back to 4 inches, which I’ve maintained ever since. I agree with the points you made. Using less product is also a benefit. Very enjoyable video!

Hi I just had a question about the v2 beardscaped. In one of your previous videos you said it was the best option of the modern dialed in style beard trimmers. But what’s the difference between for example the manscaped hedger the guard on that one is also plastic just like the v2. Wouldn’t they both be bendable and slightly flimsy. I don’t mind spending 100$ because I’m looking for a new trimmer that’s long lasting. But I just see that as a criticism for the v2 because it also has plastic guards just like all the other options out there

i like the long beard look but i have a blonde beard and there is a length it gets to where it looks good and after that it just looks too thin or transparent, if that makes sense. i think darker haired guys have beards that look denser than mine due to the dark colour

Hey Scuba another pro to a shorter beard is the use of a lot less beard oil on a regular basis. My two favorite carrier oils are Castor and Extra Virgin Olive oil. Those two are thick as you know and so between a shorter beard and those kind of oils you don't have to use as much. I think about Artius Man and how when I used that beard oil way back when it lasted longer than Live bearded or even the Kingsmen Holy Grail. Another pro for me is some days I might use a little heat some days not. I like feeling like I don't have to do this routine everyday. There's freedom in it for sure and I still have a great beard because just like you I trim and shape mine to my preferred style. Anyhoo...

My beard looks better on the shorter side. The neck beard curls do me dirty. It makes my chin look super long and pointy. I don't like that, so I keep it shorter for the contrast.
