I would agree but then there is Henry Cejudo. Although it was conditional. He beat the hardest 125er possible and defended against one of the best 135lb champ on EPO. And don’t lie we all thought TJ would SMOKE Henry. He was literally a world beater going into that fight weight drained and all. Marlon moraes and dom Cruz win didn’t age well. But he might’ve had a chance against Volkanovski if he hadn’t thrown away his prime. Now the best shot is Illia Topuria. His power just makes it possible at 155 and if he KOs Sean he could probably cut to 135 and give Sean a rematch. Also illia is the same stature as Volk and we know Islam struggles shooting under a short guy. So you never know

The reach shouldn’t too much of a factor since they are basically the same height. Volk is definitely a really good wrestler. But it’s hard to count prime Henry Cejudo out. But I still believe that he would’ve had the best chance to achieve 3 belts. It was either him or Conor. I can definitely seeing Conor outclass Woodley on the feet

Personally, I believe that with the improvement of his team today, he would be capable, and within that division, he would be a devastating contender. Not only is it insanely difficult physically it makes no sense logistically. 2 divisiona held up, 2 divisions that cant have a title fight ppv because the champ is in another division. I think the proper strategy would be one up one down. A 135er who goes up to 145, back down to 135 for a defense, then down to 125 or visa Versa. Going up 2 weight classes is insane. Fighting at a safe/natural-ish 125, moving to 135, then moving to 145 would be crazy. I also think it’ll have to be the lower weight classes. 155 is only 10 pounds up from 145 but 15 on below 170. Harder to go up or down effectively. Same thing with the jump from from 185 to 205 (think Jan v Izzy) and even prim Jan wouldn’t stand a chance at heavyweight, let alone Izzy.

Conor was cutting weight but not enough to be at 170, back then conor used to weight like 165 - 168 ish on fight night at featherweight, didnt bulk up for lightweight, and even in the khbaib fight, the dustin fights, he weighed 170 or sub 170, so I think the weight disparity wouldve been too much at 170 for conor against woodley.

Its get much harder in the UFC compared to boxing because there is less skill expression when the weight difference/height difference gets big in my opinion, the size difference is not just only punch power etc. A bigger fighter can just simply use their weight to exhaust the smaller fighter so easily, look at jon jones vs DC. As he said, he would just droop over him and he'd have to hold up 90 KG of mass while in the clinch. We'd need an alien like alex pereria at bantamweight that can cut down to flyweight and go up to featherweight while still keeping weight advantage that is also extremely skilled and we all know the odds of that.

Tbh for me the guy I see who could do it if he gets favorable matchups is khamzat. I know he had the bad weight miss but he’s made multiple welterweight fights before. Then taking the 185 belt and sure poatan is huge and could definitely ko him and would be the favorite at 205 but khamzat is also big as hell when he’s not in camp and could expose poatans grappling weakness.

Izzy would be incredibly tough for islam, and islam has absolutely 0 chance against Pereira. Strickland would chase him down for 5 rounds and DDP would just sit on him. DC could maybe have done it because he just had a lot of fat he could easily lose, or gsp would have had a good chance too

He has impressed even Nemkov with his top control. That's I why I didn't bring up DDP or Sean. Those guys are can grapple enough to hold Islam at bay.

And after putting on so much weight islam would most likely slow down and his cardio would be affected too much to win. As of last night April 13th 2024 Max Holloway took the BMF Championship from Justin Gaethje at (Lightweight). He can drop back down and take the strap from Ilia Topuria at (Featherweight). Then jump back up to (Lightweight) to take on the winner of Dustin Poirier VS Islam Makhachev. Possibly becoming a Triple Champ 1 Belt at Featherweight & 2 Belts at Lightweight. By the way Salahdine Parnasse from France almost became a simultaneous triple champ in KSW at 145-155-170 when he lost a close decision against KSW 170 champ in December.

I think 2 things: first khabib could not have done it. Not beacause of Usman but because of whittaker and adesanya who were champions from 2017 to 2021 when he retired. But he could have done it against GSP. The thing is we dont actually know who is better between the two. No matter your opinions they remain such. We never saw a matchup between the two and never will, but they are the same height and khabib would have had at least a chance against GSP. Usman and GSP would have dream fights for khabib and also incredibly diffucult matchups but both of the 3 would have had a shot to become triple champ against the other 2 at 155 170 and 185. All of them are the same height and all of them could have made 155 if they wanted so one of them could have come out on top (but also GSP vacated the belt in 2017 so it really doesnt count it's just fantasy mma). Secondly Khamzat Chimaev could possibly be the one to become triple champ. Chimaev can make 170 and he can smash anyone in that cathegory. He won against usman and to me that's enough to make him the best candidate to win the 170 belt from Edwards. He has a long way to go at 185 which is probably the most difficult and competitive division in the ufc but he has a shot at becoming champion there. The problem would be 205, but just think what he could to to pereira on the ground. If he managed to take alex on the ground he could possibly have enough skill so finish him or go 5 rounds exausting him with wrestling (like sonnen vs silva). There are just hypothesis and i dont believe Chimaev will ever be able to actually do it but I am just illustrating possibilities. Also pereira has a chance at 260 but not with jones. Maybe with aspinall but he would be a real challenge on the ground. Plus alex is not known for his iron chin so a shot from aspinall clearly landend on pereira's jaw would be instant lights out. It's all a matter of timing and possibilities
