I totally get it when people mention Sean's cardio during that Yan fight. He actually respected Yan's abilities to be the elite of the elite. O'malley has proven to have crazy high output & good cardio. I really feel that Yan fight was an anomaly. He had so much pressure where people wanted to see Sean get fraud checked & sent back to where he belongs. The biggest thing we all learned from that fight (no matter what people think the decision should be) It proved Sean belongs alongside the top ranked Bantam weight fighters. It's Human to go into a moment like that and have that voice in your head suddenly doubt if you can't hang at this elite level? Once someone gets past testing those waters tho it at least allows them to go into their future fights with a better sense of self. Where up until anyone faces a moment like that in their athletic career it's understandable to at least doubt if "maybe I am a fraud?" idk if any of this makes sense. I could be totally wrong. I just feel his cardio was different that fight out if any other fight. Yan is that good if a fighter. Each dude did well. I wouldn't disagree with either guy getting the win. Nothing was a robbery because it wasn't crazy clear who won yet it goes to the guy who doesn't deserve it.. If we step back and look at O'malley's performances as a whole I think he's shown to be Avery uniquely talented MMA fighter. The output, feints, movement, striking from both sides fluidly & effectively. Most fighters that have abilities similar to his do not also have solid cardio to the point where they can keep up that fighting style for 5 whole rounds.. That's so uncommon. Especially since mixed into his dynamic high output style he understands how to put sting and velocity onto his shots to really rock people.. Most of the time you get high output but they don't really damage their opponents effectively, or they can't keep up the fast twitch movement and feints and kicks all 5 rounds. Sean O'malley is an Anomaly. The dude really has grown on me. He's probably my favorite fighter to watch compete nowadays. Seeing his evolution has been a fun thing to witness as well. It really does seem we might be seeing a slight improvement towards the approach to MMA. It's hard to explain. That being said, of course I think he will face an opponent he won't be able to beat and it will be fun to see how Sean and His Coach Tim approach that chapter of their career. He's got a good enough fight IQ and Ability to adapt and adjust on the fly in the fight that I believe he will be capable of overcoming things if they present themselves at certain points in his career.

Don't really like the Concept of a Fraud check tbh. Yeah sometimes major weaknesses get exposed but it seems like people are using it every time a new prospect struggles or loses. The whole concept of the UFC is that because the level is high and the best are fighting the Best,most fighters will have losses. And a loss doesn't hurt you as much as it would in boxing for example. Holloway had early losses in his career. Oliveira had early losses in his career. Islam had one. Strickland had some etc. Saying a single loss/bad performance means that prospect is a fraud is ridiculous
