Coming from a 50 year old man who has listened to virtually only instrumental guitar music for the past 30 years. This Abim Finger watching his videos I can say he is the most talented guitarist out right now. His feel is unrivaled with someone that has this much technique. If he was in American he would be a super star already..

Hey what's up bro. Finally you having my request, thank you and thank you very much. Abim is amazing, extraordinary kids, now he's almost 15 years old. I always get goosebumps when I hear this music instrument. Maybe it's not wrong, if I dub abim as "the next Joe Satriani". nice reaction!! btw about the reverse end of strings, it's very common in indonesia (i don't know in other country) because we have a kind of guitar bridge that require to attach the other end of the strings

a little information sir, guitarist 2 (andre dinuth) is one of the famous session players in Indonesia and he is the one who created the guitar solo and entrusted it to Abim because he considered it appropriate. and the bass player in the video, is the wife of Andre Dinuth.

He is 13 by the way, just to answer your question. And yes the strings are installed backward as i did as well, more convenient way to install on floyd rose trem type. Hope that help with your question. P.S Please don't ask what kinda water we are drinking here, it's just water. LOL.

I have multiple guitars with Floyd Rose trems and I never thought to install the strings upside down! I just clip the ball ends off :-) But yes, that explains why he does that! Thanks!

@@UnhingedReactions I've always installed them with the ball ends on, like Abim. I've never thought to clip them off first - I do that after though (so not like Abim here). With the ball ends on you're not accidentally stabbing yourself either. I've never thought to clip them first, as the other way seemed natural to me on a floyd rose or edge style trem, so there may be advantages to not clipping them that I don't know of - maybe you can enlighten me! I never play hard tails these days, but that would obviously be a different matter.

Skill wise there is no denying the great level that Abim possess, I even dare to say Joe himself wasn't as skillful at that same age but it takes much more than skills and techniques for being "Joe Satriani". As good as Abim is, so far he only emulates the style of others, no great writings or innovations yet to be displayed. Don't get me wrong, I only wish I can play like him but only time will tell whether he will be remembered as one of the greats or one of the great copiers. Thousands of players like him out there but only one Joe, Steve, Yngwie, etc.
