Is Ace Attorney The Movie Worth It?

I played through the first three games before finding out about the movie, and I really enjoyed it. It was a bit flatter on my second viewing with friends, but I liked the mix of heavier elements in the movie. Phoenix was great throughout and gave some great meme potential for my friends and I. Felt pretty rushed at points, much like the Yakuza movie, but to a much less degree. I hold both movies as a good time that feels so off, but I enjoy them for that.

That's great that you enjoyed it! I too think Phoenix has some fantastic, and really bad, acting in the film. Certainly one to watch with friends to make fun of it. I haven't seen the Yakuza film but I'm sure (like most video game movies) that it could have been better. I just think that if this movie lent more to the goofy side or had new cases in this more series tone it would have been a better film. Trying to cram 4 cases into one film is where they messed up (even though 2 of them are done very quickly) the other 2 aren't given enough time.

It is worth it you know whats not worth your time? Its monster hunter or every other anderson movie.

Ace Attorney is a far better adaptation than Anderson films. Aside from the first resident evil he hasn’t really done very good films

There was the anime (which has an english dub) so we did get something! But I would love more media for the Ace Attorney series, with new cases so it's not the same stories again and again
