You missed when Otto left helaena's room, alicent called him uttering the word "Father", then the twins suddenly muttered something that sound like Aemond, which is then followed by Aemond entering the room; and knowing Helaena is a dragon dreamer, her children might be one as well and saw the coming of Aemond or they gave hints by mentioning aemond when the they heard the word Father.

1 twin says "Aemond" and the other says "Aegon". It's also only *just* audible and occurs right after Alicent calls "Father". This was clearly intentional by the crew to further create doubt on the parentage of Jaehaerys and Jaehaera. Maybe they just see Aemond as their father cause he helps take care of them in Aegon's absence and negligence. Or maybe Aemond is their real father after all...

Somehow I find Brother and sister incest less disturbing than uncle niece. Possibly it’s the age gap,after all he knew her as a baby while being an adult. Siblings brought up meanwhile in weird( let’s face it) circumstances would naturally feel that they can turn to each other,the only ones they really trust. Aegon got all the attention while the younger pair were seen as a bit defective. Whatever , Aemond obviously cares for her the most

Them changing Aemond to Helaena’s childrens father has no impact on making him a more of a ‘Targaryen ancestor’ 😂 He is the exact same amount of ‘Targaryen ancestor’ as both Aegon and Helaena, there’s a difference between a Targaryen ruler (which both Aegon and Helaena were) and ancestor for starters so even if he was their father he wouldn’t be ruler because he isn’t king.

I wonder if in the books, Maelor is Aegon’s son and the twins are Aemond’s. Blood and cheese asked Heleana which son she wanted to lose, and hesitantly she chose Maelor. Maybe she picked Maelor because Jaehaerys was next in line to the throne, or maybe because he wasn’t Aemond’s son.

Nah, even in the Opening Credit Scene, its clear that the kids are Aegon's and Helaena's. For one, it doesn't fit Aemond's character within context of his family to do this. With Alys Rivers, sure, but Helaena? His married sister? The Opening Scene also shows how Rhaenyra's and Harwin's bloodlines cross, not Laenor's, so its clear we would've seen bastardy in evidence there... and we don't for Aemond and Helaena.

In the show opening Harwin’s sigil is not there it is Laenor’s, and the same for Aegon and Helaena. The opening credits just show the ‘official’ succession. For instance many believed Aenys to be a bastard.

I think he was bothered, yes, but only cause he felt it humiliated his brother, and to him, the rivalry between him, his brother, and nephews were real. He loved his sister. However, i feel he distanced himself from the other siblings whenever he could.

​@@MissAllWednesdayYeah & Aemond isn't above being a hypocrite. If Aegon II eventually lost the throne (thru death or whatever else), a decision would be made to crown Jaehaerys (or Aemond possibly). At this point if it's little Jae, Aemond could act as his regent until Jae comes of age OR confess Jae is a bastard which then makes Aemond king which then means he can legitimize Helena's children as his own and heirs & marry Helaena (if Aegon is dead or lost in Essos). It's scandalous yeah, but Aemond rides Vhagar and since when is there not drama in this storyline? He could very well have had an affair with Helaena which results in the twins (and Maelor if he exists in HotD) & justify it in his own head meanwhile Rhaenyra remains the "whore" (which is true but it doesn't change Aemond being a hypocrite which is a running concept in this story).

Why say it’s a son for a son unless it’s literal? When you go biblical, you tend to mean literal interpretations. It wasn’t Alicent’s son, it was Helena’s. If they do it, this will be the the twist.
