It's refreshing to hear someone speak on this in a neutral perspective. As much as it would be ideal to stop or slow down the development of AI for the rest of us to catch up, there is an arms race against China on AI and robotics. Plus, one may slow down or stop but that's going to pave way to other companies to take advantage and make further developments. The competition is brutal.

sadly, we are a very lazy species... as much as a lot of people would only want to use AI for assistance, they'd just take the easy and fastest way to use it completely as a replacement for whatever work they create. we're getting lazier day by day i guess /: edit: oh and i wouldn't want to use AI for my work because i wouldn't be able to improve. i'd just get lazy in the end...
