Thank you for showing me what you did with the table. I have been worried about seating space. Now I see I can remove the back rest and add throw pillows for more space. Greatly appreciated!

Good Airstream information. I'm a single full-timer in my 2020 19cb Caravel and have found more then anything that the peace of mind in the build quality and reliability of my Airstream far outweigh any small inconvenience to space constraint. I constantly meet folks on the road that have had major problems with their pull-outs. BTW...very few campgrounds that I have been in around the country where someone doesn't come up and compliment my AS...and it's usually a chick.

It’s true, people do come up all the time and say how much they like it. I don’t mind the space and slide outs are nice but they can cause lots of problems. I think it depends on the the way the slide is built. But hey, different strokes for different folks.

Great video. We have a 2019 Flying Cloud 25' Rear Bed Twin. It is our second Airstream. We spend the winter in Florida in it. Works great for us. We love the twin bed arrangement. Looked at RV's of all brands for 2 years before buying our first Airstream, a 2017 International 23D. Moved up to the 25' 2 years later. Love the towing experience. Once you have had an Airstream you probably will never have any thing else. Keep up the videos.

Excellent walk through. My wife and I will be shopping for an Airstream very soon for full time RV living. Like you, I’m pretty settled on the 27FB. My only issue is that I’m 6’2” and the shower will be a little tight.

Great video. Our ‘11 27fb classic has almost the exact same floor plan - and it’s perfect for the two of us. Great for a few dinner/conversation guests and adequate for one extra to sleepover. Not having slides is an enormous plus when we just pull over for lunch or rest (we can run AC for about 3 hours on batteries.) Just open the door and it’s ready to use. Something everyone should know is the smaller the rig is the more places you can go with it. Every additional foot is a compromise especially in legacy campgrounds like in Yellowstone and other NPs. BTW - I’m a pretty big guy - 6-1 - and the bath/shower works for me just fine. Traveling partners need to respect one another’s privacy, but it works fine. We wouldn’t trade.

Great info! Will be following you now, as we acquired a 33 ft Classic (2018) I was dreaming of a 23 foot Flying Cloud, but the hubby was receptive to the 33 ft. We have plenty of room, with 2 large pups, & the possibility of 3 grands visiting. Safe travels !

Hey how do you like your 33? I am considering it. There's not much info from people full-timing in a big one like that. Has it been restricting on where you can go, especially with National Parks??

Totally agree with you. Wife and I are under 6 feet tall and our Airstream works great for us. Zero waisted space in it. If you are over 6 feet tall and a bigger guy then you will really struggle in the showers of any model except the 33 Foot Classic. As to not having a slide issue.... after driving down the highway and seeing a slide deploy at 75 mph that sealed the deal for me. It wasn't a pretty site.

It’s made by Vornado. We bought it at Costco near Black Friday so we only paid under $40. I think the price has doubled since then. But its a 1500 watt, but I don’t know the model. Sorry.

Good points. For me, it would not work asI am a big guy and need the space, especially in the bathroom. Always admired Airstream, how they are constructed in the interior, but just doesn’t work for me. Finally ended up going to a class A DP and now have all the space I want.

I just recently found your channel and love it! Keep the videos coming! Love the quick tour. We recently ordered our airstream, and we got a 27 foot Globtrotter, twin beds, I'm wondering what year yours is, because they didn't have the end tables as an option, which is the primary reason we got twins, we needed some kind of nightstand.

We just purchased a 28 foot FC after having a 25 foot FC. We also had a hard time deciding between the 27 and 28 foot models. The clincher for us was the 28 foot had the couch and it had the windows on the campsite side instead of windows that look at the opposite side of your campsite. While ours has oodles of storage, we did give up a dedicated pantry space and the one big closet; ours has a smaller main closet and the two on either side of the bed. Also, we did want the living area in the front since we will be spending 7 months of each year in an Airstream only park that we bought into and the living area in the front was better for that. As with most things, everyone has to decide for themselves what features are most important and what deficits they can live with. Hope it works out well for you!

We really loved the couch in the 28" foot and it was a close decision for us too. You're right about the lack of windows on the door side. I forgot to mention that in the video.

AS plumbing is protected from freezing because the space under the floor is heated by the propane furnace. In really cold temps you would either have to run the furnace all the time or work something out. It would take a lot of propane if you did. Also moisture becomes an issue in long periods of cold weather use. It might really be a challenge.

Where do you store the berke when traveling? Doesn’t your ac have a heat pump? So why have the space heater?
@alwaysenroute8811
@alwaysenroute8811 2 жыл бұрын
We put the Berkeley in a five gallon bucket wrapped in a towel then put it next to the bed where its less likely to fall over. The AC does have a heat pump but it uses a lot of power and only works in creating temperatures and it not as quiet as the little heater that works great.
