Interesting. As an Egyptian myself, idk about Aurora being Egypt per se; although multiple North African cultures/countries including Egypt are definitely referenced and blended together (and I personally see more maghrebi influence in Aurora myself) and and the desert climate were very much referenced in its lore and design. The Old Kingdom has always struck me as being a blend of magical and futuristic with "guns that shoot lightning" (according to a bit of Hammer's dialogue in Fable II), and especially with those weird sound effect you hear when the Wardogs swing their blades (it's like a sound effect I've heard used in certain vines and dubstep and such.)

Do you suppose it's possible that Egypt became uninhabitable and France became desert like after whatever world ending event occurred and the people that lived in Egypt simply moved north?

I always thought the minions had such interesting designs. Fable was also the first time I heard the word minion, so this was what I associated with the word for the longest time. If only we could replace those yellow things with the awesome Fable ones.

I was literally just talking to my friend about Hal's armor and the conversation spiraled into us wondering if Fable took place in the future. I never thought I'd find a channel that does lore videos on Fable, but this all is just the mother of all coincidences.

Well there are a ton of Fable videos for you to watch now. I am thinking of doing a video dedicated to Hal's armour at some point.

Interesting theory, though I prefer the thought that it's an alternate version of Britain instead. Did you know you can read the Albion script? Aurora is actually more based on North African countries, specifically Morroco. It also WAS part of the Old Kingdom, as the OK was much bigger and more expansive than just Albion. (I got all this from Dene Carters discord by the way)

I think we need an open world game with the entirety of albion akin to an elderscrolls game. If they made that, I'd just live in that game. I miss Albion so much. The rolling green hills, the soundtrack, the stories that were told, and the humour. Everything. I think it's good that Fable didn't die. Looks like death's not the destiny for our little sparrow.

The word "Archon" is a very common word in ancient Greece, specifically Athens where "democracy was born" supposedly. Archons were the highest ranking government officials. Makes sense that the old Archons expanded their mighty Greek Empire

Sadly they didn't think anyone would put much thought into theories like this for especially fable LC, but as in the same thought as ESO's Lawrence Schick saying "Everything is lore". They have adapted Fables very name into something similar making any events in the games not entirely reliable being a "fable" making it more malleable for expansion such as this and even for retcons and many of those have happened all the way to Fable: The Journey.
