Mourningwood (hehe) has so little commonality with the other games in terms of location that it is hard to come up with theories about the place as everything about it is new, despite it only being a sewer away from Bowerstone, apparently. At a guess…it used to be Brightwood since it’s so close to the city, but someone didn’t want to be Chesty’s friend so he used his unnatural Chesty powers to transform the region into a hellish landscape filled with Hollow Men and the Hero of Bowerstone, now King, sent a legion into the Forrest to check on his dear old friend.

I imagine the name was deliberate. Knowing the devs of Fable, they’re not above a play on words like that. That demon door realm is cool though. It makes me wonder if the doors really lead to small pocket dimensions and instead open to locations in the world. Because that looked like a completely different planet. And if there’s air, there may be things living there. Maybe places like the Homestead Realm and the Demon Door Retirement Community exist in the world and people can stumble upon them. But they’re just not in Albion or something.

It's a little frustating that the maps between games just don't match up. There isn't an explanation either. It's likely due to the developers needing a fresh map to fit in all of their new locations, although I guess some of the movements could be explained with a 500 year difference?

I love the name pun of Mourningwood but I really really dislike the region. just the sheer amount of Hollow Men are a pain in the ass and it doesn't help that some of the area is home to Damage Sponge Hobbes. let alone the cannon minigame which is almost impossible to get a high score.
