Honestly we need to revisit the Brandon Donovan trade, can play anywhere and has 3 years of team control. Then we can focus on signing a power hitter like theoscar or the polar bear.

Would love to add Donovan (might cost us Schmidt) solid bat could be perfect leadoff hitter and great defense at multiple positions, I’d keep him in LF with Belli at 1B both guys just what we need athletes that can move around the diamond. Get Hoerner in the Bellinger deal and you got some amazing D will completely change the team’s identity which is badly needed after that embarrassing display not only in the WS but all season long. Warren, Arias and top 20ish prospect for Bellinger (7.5 million retained) and Hoerner. Schmidt and prospects for Donovan, Jojo Romero and Helsley . Trade from surplus of bullpen (Cousin and/or Beeter) to offload Stroman maybe half to a third retained depending on who. Sign Buehler to 34 million 2 year deal with incentives to get to 40 and 3 year option.

The way I see it, we have a hole at 1B, 2B, and one outfield position. Jazz can move around, and Im sure they can move Judge and Dominguez around to make it work, but we basically have 3 spots to fill. Bergman, Bellinger, and Walker could fill them but I don't see us getting all 3.

Bergman; absolutely not. He has the worst arm for 3rd. Baseman in MLB. Gold glove caliber glove but has a noodle for an arm. I’d prefer to keep Cabrera there.
