I’ve had my ridge titanium for 5 years, it’s perfectly fine. You wear out the strips if you don’t use card protected sleeves I should add but I want Ekster because it looks easier to access your cards

The Ekster is considerably easier to access cards, however, yes, the Ridge is definitely the more durable wallet of the two!

My girlfriend bought an Ekster wallet for both of us and I absolutely love it. She doesn't even bother with a purse anymore for short trips. I honestly can't even tell it's in my pocket when I'm sleeping, if I happen to have it in some comfortable shorts. The Ekster squeaks a little when working the action, but it fanning out the cards is worth it. I don't think I'll buy a Ridge Wallet. I try to set up daily carry for blind use, so I can do everything without actually looking at it. Ekster is better for that.

I’ve had the ridge wallet for 5+ years maybe even longer honestly, I lost count of how many years I’ve had it, but I’m planning on switching to the Ekster wallet soon for it’s ease of use.

They’re both expensive, but but if you can’t get them on sale, it’s a good deal. I had an Exster leather wallet for almost 2 years and I liked it but I grew it and just switch to the ridge. I think I like it better.

The Ridge style wallets suck in my opinion. It’s so much easier getting your credit cards from a pop-up style wallet.

I can't stand my ridge. I have the carbon fiber ridge ($160), and all my cards get jacked up in my ridge. I'm looking into the ekster.

Not sure I was thinking of trying a cheep knockoff ridge style fist to see if it’s something I can live with beforevdropping lots of cash on something I’m not sure off.

Ridge has torn up my husband’s cards and his license is hard to see. I’m concerned that will happen again with Ekster but he really doesn’t want to go back to a regular wallet.

That’s interesting, I’ve never had that before a concern with Ridge type wallets! He'll be fine with the Ekster. I have the Ekster carbon fiber one and I keep my license with the cards I used the least on the back card holder. It does not get scratched up or worn out at all. Because it's with those cards you hardly ever use. The cards use the most go inside the cardholder and those are the ones you use with the button on the bottom of the wallet. My wife bought me it and I couldn't be happier.

@@Gear_43 on their website they say they don’t work with metal cards. Plus there are a few reviews online showing how they just fall out of the holder because the wallets don’t have enough grip for the cards. In 2024 a lot of these new cards are moving from the regular plastic, I myself have 4 of them and it’s just a shame they’re not working with these kinds of wallets.

@@tylerames376 which wallet? I have Ekster and ridge and they both don’t work. Even Reddit shows there are complaints. Ekster doesn’t have enough grip/strength to hold the metal cards in place and the ridge metal interior scratches the metal cards. I have the JPM reserve and a couple of metal Amex cards and non seem to work.
