Before I had my 2 boys. My wife's little Maltese became my best friend, still is, but our life really changed because of her. Gone were the days the 2 of us took the usual trips folks took in their late 20s early 30s, so we got into RV camping. My dog came along on all our trips , never having to stay anywhere but with us and I was able to fish and ride my bike.. RV camping , mtb riding, and dogs go together so well man. So sorry you went through that, people think we are ridiculous because of how we treat our dogs.

I love Angel Fire Bike Park and agree with your comments about the surrounding town, that was a surprise to me also. The bike park is awesome and I am envious of those living nearby that get there often.

I went through the same thing a year and a half ago. It took 1 month to get the call. My life was a shambles for a long time. So glad you had a swift and happy ending. Keep a close eye on him as you never know what he went through or ate or drank to survive. I don't trust anyone except my vet tech friend and only at my home while I'm away. Would never wish the experience even on my worst enemy. Your story brought back some really bad memories and hopefully others will take extreme care to prevent a devastating event like yours.

Angel Fire Bike Park is fun but it is remote....and I had a dog (who was family as well) stolen by a nearby neighbor who was going sell him. Anyway I knew his distinct bark so well I could hear him at a distance locked in a garage. Long story short I got him back and it was one of the best reliefs of my life.

A month ago, my buddies and I went to Angelfire. We spent the better part of each day searching for trails and rarely finding them. On our last run of our last day, we found Lemonade and holy crap! It was like something out of a comic! Larger than life! I'm going to go down again just to hit Lemonade over and over!

10,500 plus elevation i believe. Went there a couple years ago with friends and it was all of our first time hitting lifted bike park and this place was amazing! Hungry hippo trail was the best and the trail with the long wooden drop. Angel fire is where the first Vietnam War memorial is located and what the memorial wall in D.C. is modeled after.

It's definitely for everyone. Angelfire, NM and Snowmass, CO are the best to do back to back. If Snow Summit and Snow Valley had some more greens and blues like both bike parks mentioned above they would be way better. The dirt is definitely different but nothing wrong with adding some wooden features and wooden waterbar drops has ALWAYS been my thinking when I went to ride both Snows and Mammoth. If you hit Chipmunk to Easy Street to Combi back to Easy THAT is a full green top to bottom warm up @Angelfire Resort.

Commenting on vid from a year ago... sorry. I go to AF several times a year. Love this place and have been meaning to try the bike park for years. I'm an old roadie, but I'll give it a try now. You went to Red River for some after hours fun, but don't forget Taos is about the same distance and has a lot more things to do. If you haven't been to Northern NM, you should go. God's Country ❤

What fps and res do you use on your GoPro when you upload to KZbin. I just finished a weekend at snow valley and my video came out super blurry on KZbin. It looks fine on my phone but KZbin killed the quality.

My wife and I have some fun e-bikes and there’s no way she’d ride down the mountain. Does the Angel Fire area have plenty of relatively safe roads of any kind to ride on? Enough for a 15 mile trip? Or is it just an out and back on the main road?
@TheOutsiderMTB Жыл бұрын
They have roads but fast speeds. Like highway.
