Step 1 in understanding the issue: Gravity is *_NOT_* a "force".
@mrhassell

The curvature of spacetime, is defined in General Relativity. However, GR itself requires mods, making it useful beyond Earth, result of coupling space and time, addition to G as constant (Fixed by Earth Mass). GR is a Tensor theory. Extended using an additional scalar field, and tensor vector, such as "Dickie-Brans Theory", corrects the issues. Resulting from Einstein, not believing the Universe as being dynamic (we know it to be), or black holes (Sagittarius A* center of Milky Way), is reason for the upgrades. May still be used exactly as Einstein created it to be used, with addition to being of use and works beyond Earth, for example on Sagittarius A*. Which resulted in gravity, being 300x what was expected. Dark Matters really.

@@mrhassell I don't have time to teach you physics. Saying "nope I'm right you're wrong" doesn't help much. Especially when you can barely speak English. You don't even understand the difference between a "force" and an "interaction" (the latter of which is what gravity IS). Muted and goodbye .. forever.

Gravity is a "dent" in space-time so unless someone figures out how to manipulate mass or create some sort of "anti-mass", better forget about it.

The curvature of space also affects fields defined by quantum field theory, the most successful framework for describing quantum properties and phenomena. Addressing fundamental flaws in General Relativity, a tensor theory, requires adding a scalar field and tensor vector, making it dynamic and useful beyond Earth. The Brans-Dicke theory provides this and is the first step. Understanding the moment of creation, fundamental forces were unified in the electroweak interaction. At low energies, these forces appear distinct, but above around 246 GeV, they merge into a single force. Shortly after the Big Bang, the electroweak force split into the electromagnetic and weak forces. Together with gravity and the strong force, these are the four fundamental forces of nature. Gravity, resulting from rest mass, is also an applied force. Sheldon Glashow, Abdus Salam, and Steven Weinberg received the 1979 Nobel Prize in Physics for the unification of these forces, known as the Weinberg-Salam theory. Quantum entanglement, proven real, led to the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics for Alain Aspect, John F. Clauser, and Anton Zeilinger for their work with entangled photons and Bell inequalities. Quantum computers, like Google's Sycamore, demonstrated "quantum supremacy" in 2019 by completing a task in 200 seconds that would take the world's best supercomputer 10,000 years. Never forget, there's folks with more time on their hands, and plenty of cunning. Who might be older than a forest, may be barely able 'to see', but clearly can see the wood, for the trees.

We have to understand what gravity actually and how it works, then we can focus on reversing its attracting energy. I would suggest that gravity is nothing more than the energy of atoms being drawn together through electromagnetic attraction. Repelling this will need an intimate understanding of electromagnetic attraction.

Gravity, resulting from rest mass, is known as an applied force, it doesn't make it less real. Sheldon Glashow, Abdus Salam, and Steven Weinberg received the 1979 Nobel Prize in Physics, for the unification of fundamental forces, known as the Weinberg-Salam theory. The unified weak and electromagnetic interaction between elementary particles. Included the prediction of the weak neutral current, which significantly advanced our understanding of fundamental forces in the universe, electroweak relating to the weakest of any force, the force of gravity. 14.5 lbs per square inch, standing on the Earth. Is not huge, a force to overcome which has been done, with patents granted to the US Navy for the work undertaken by Salvatore Pias. He demonstrated inertial mass reduction, by microwave resonance in the quantum vacuum field, aka "zero point", as it describes total independence of a field, from other fundamental forces, namely gravity. An applied force, still remains as a force, one we know how to master, even if fewer have, and with many yet to learn how, it does not mean that there are not any, as there are some who clearly do!

If gravity is the way in which energy and matter affect space-time, reversing that relationship would require either changing the way in which space-time is affected or changing the nature of energy and matter. Space-time is an apparently universal structure about which we know almost nothing and the little we know shows that it must be reevaluated from time to time. I suppose we would be left to invert the nature of energy and matter in the hope that their effect on space-time would also be reversed. One supposes that antigravity would make it possible to move in space as if it were not deformed or its deformation was inverse to that produced by a certain normal object. That doesn't seem viable if what you're looking for is to change the reaction of the space to a normal object.

The concept of anti spacetime sounds a bit alarming. I can imagine harnessing the energy from a black hole to create wormholes might have a similar effect. But with the human capacity to make mistakes I can also imagine billions of lives lost due to some tragic oversight.

First, corrections need to be applied to general relativity, unbinding space from time, making GR gravity dynamic and examination of the quantum vacuum field, 1979 and 2022 Nobel prizes in physics... and if you do this, then, you'll be able to see, that it isn't anything to be alarmed by. Only as the logic hasn't been updated, as we all lead busy lives and not everyone can focus on pure science 24/7. Also as you entirely most correctly state, mistakes always will be made, even in the case of general relativity. Requiring two patches, to make it "more useful", and they're small changes, but the differences they make, are astounding! Works exactly as Einstein designed, but now it works outside of Earth, like the Brans-Dickie theory. There is a more expanded form, afaik doesn't even apply to an actual theory, it simply uses gr and field equations, in expanding self repetition as dynamic series in non-linear equations, more exist as abstractions from gr as the base, form branches in delivery of supercomputer simulations, modeling galaxy super groups, Laniakea and Virgo Superclusters.

No. This snippet belies a woeful lack of understanding of how we understand gravity. Gravity is not a force so much as a field. Using this model it doesn't push or pull so we can't reverse it. A couple of cranks playing with equations isn't a breakthrough.

Sir, I'm sorry to correct you, as I understand why, you think the way you stated, as one believed being true. General relativity indeed, shows what you say is true, after all, Einstein was one of the smartest men to ever live and really was no fool, by no means. Although, his work was made over a 100 years ago. Advances are constant. 1979, significant insight came to the fundamental forces of nature, expanding our knowledge of forces as presented in Nature. What you are saying, relates to effect asserted "to" or applied, which is what gravity is. An applied field, and one which has been overcome. The isolation of a field, liberated into isolation, referred to as a quantum vacuum field. Field independence already achieved, although this video, makes no reference, establish it existing or the fact, but it does not change it. Patents granted to the US Navy, are not something imagined, can only exist if that fact is proven true. "Salvatore Pias". Not shown, but strangely, known to be! Microwave resonance, inductive field polarity coupling, manipulating the quantum vacuum state of the electromagnetic field, and not requiring 246 GeV.

Quantum field theory, describes quantum vacuum state (a.k.a quantum vacuum or vacuum state) a quantum state with lowest possible energy. The term "zero-point" is often a synonym for the vacuum state of a quantized field, independent of all others. Rotating paired, counter poles of ultra high frequencies in electromagnetic fields, creates high tension fields or vortexes, mimicing the natural toroids in electromagnetic fields, known to exist in stars and planets, and the Earth. Specific measures, related to frequencies or harmonics and adjusting these harmonics, create specific state changes, applied in inductive coupling of these fields. The result is inertial mass reduction. The US Navy holds patents, using microwave resonance in these fields. Providing proof in the process of application as real, applies to all phenomenon, required to be verified as existing by demonstration, to obtain a patent. This has been achieved by Salvatore Cezar Pais.

Can. Imagine when a gyroscope creates a large magnetic field around it. Then the gyroscope load will be 0... then there is another ring that fires sound waves with a frequency corresponding to the thickness of the magnetic field in the upward direction then it will be an arc of the magnetic field yamg making the power rise upwards..

I have no doubt that there is some way to affect, or control, the force of gravity .. and that we just haven't gotten there yet. One of the biggest problems in all pf physics is a "quantum theory of gravity". That said, this video is crackpot garbage. The joker who said it would take the mass energy of Earth to propel a space craft to the nearest star to our sun is .. wrong. An object in motion tends to stay in motion, unless acted upon by another force (and gravity is NOT a "force"). I feel like that's a fairly well understood reality at this point. This was terrible and misleading and I don't know why but I expected better from the BBC.
