Sadly both speakers refer to "Muslim terrorists" and "Christian martyrs" which betrays their own and the American bias against the Muslim faith (among others). Both religions have tenants that benefit the individual and community and both have martyrs and terrorist. These religions have provided adherents the fortitude to give-up their lives for some perceived greater good; and, both have provided adherents the authority to take the lives of others to ensure "the purity of the faith" and to "advance the faith." This is a human fallibility that pervades all systems of belief and cultures. Is anything worth dying for? Sure, though the answer to what is worth dying for is not universal but rather very personal to the individual faced with giving up living because of their personal adherence to a specific belief/faith/identity/culture/etc. Many chose not to become martyrs and make choices that given them credible reasons to continue to live without or beyond the specific belief/faith/identity/culture which may indeed be considered "dying for something" which was not addressed.
