Your Arbys failed you there actually. You didn’t get the Spicy bun, that’s a star top bun. It’s the normal bun for the sandwiches like crispy chicken, buffalo chicken, chicken bacon swiss, etc. Unfortunately you didn’t get to eat the complete sandwich. The spicy bun, being spicy, may have added a lil more spice to it.

This is the reason I'm looking in the comments. I was eating one while watching this and mine was waaaay different. His looked like a normal brisket sandwich with a little bit of BBQ. Mine was bright red and smothered in jalapenos and sauce, it was a mess to eat. 9/10 btw super good, only gripe is the ghost pepper wasn't high enough quality to bother including.

I work in the candy business and I will say the idea of putting a shake with it is genius. Sugar is the best relief for spice in your mouth. I usually keep a sugar packet handy if I"m eating something spicy!

Arby's used to be way cheaper with way bigger sandwiches. They used to have 5 arbys roast beef sandwichs for $5. It pissed alot of people off when it suddenly was dropped, the price doubled, they used a smaller bun and halved the beef. I like arbys but their prices went through the roof overnight 25 years ago

This sandwich tasted okay, but I swear I've had Wendy's nuggets sneak up on me worse than this lame Diablo thing. I do eat spicy food, I have a high tolerance, I eat Samyang Buldak 2x as lunch up to a few times a week. For that reason I'm using the Wendy's Spicy Nuggets as a BARE MINIMUM BENCHMARK for what I even feel. The Diablo brisket *just* registered. The heat that was there did linger a little, but wasn't remotely uncomfortable. I guess my only issue is the marketing was clearly geared towards "hey hotheads, we know you don't think fast food spicy is spicy, but this one is. And yet, this barely hit me harder than what I can ultimately order as an option in a kids meal.

If I ever hold off on them it's because they're just kind of saltier than necessary (a lot of spicies are like that, they make them salty because the heat dulls the rest of the flavor and salt is the cheapest flavor 😅).

For my pepper heads out there. The spice is a solid 6 outta 10(Coralina Reaper being a 10). The flavors are pretty good. Gots like a chocolate habanero profile to the sauce

Ive been eating there lately. The french dip sandwich is pretty good. That milkshake you got is their snack size, which isnt on the menu, but you can get it for one dollar during “happy hour”, 2:30 to 5:30. They also have a one dollar fries then also

As a Korean, I'd like to try this. I've never found any "spicy" sandwich in America to be spicy to me. So this would be good to try, to see if it lives up to my definition of spicy. Also the milkshake would work much better than water, because it's the fat content in the milkshake that helps neutralize the burning sensation from spicy foods. That's why I tell my friends it's better to drink whole milk, or even better yet, cream than to drink water, soda or something like that which has no fat content. I enjoyed your review and appreciate how well you dress and deliver the information.

You won't find it spicy in the least. The only thing that made me feel anything on this sandwich was the sauce, and its basically a watered down version of Buffalo Wild Wings' mango habanero sauce in terms of flavor/spice level. the cheese has so little ghost pepper in it its almost like normal pepper jack, and the fiery seasoning could easily be passed off as fry seasoning. The jalapenos are also of fairly low quality imo, not only are they not that spicy (relative to most jalapenos) they also dont /taste/ that good either.

I just got this sandwich, eating it now. Looks nothing like what reviewbrah was given. The bun is dark reddish brown and it’s damn good. Spice definitely doesn’t overpower the flavor. It’s a perfect sandwich in my opinion.

Arby's is correct to offer you the milkshake. Water would only worsen the effects. The milk compounds are very good at mitigating the heat sensation.

It's not the milk per say but the fats in the milk. The fats help trap the capsaicin. The coldness of the shake also provides a very temporary relief.

The two things I had spicy foods that almost killed me if it wasn't for endorphins. 1. I went to a very traditional Mexican restaurant with a buddy of mine, he recommended I eat the deep fried green thing on our taco platter. He told me seconds later it was a deep fried habenaro. It burned in my mouth very, very slowly and there wasn't anything that helped. We payed for our meal, the hispanic cooks were laughing at me, speaking spanish and I said to the clerk, "no really, what are they saying about me?" He replied that it was very brave of a white man like me to eat a DEEP FRIED GHOST PEPPER. It wasnt a habanero! 2. Just for funsies, with the same friend, he had a deep fried jalepeno that he didn't want, so I took it and bit about half of the thing at once. It was very hot, and I realized quickly it had more seeds than normal as you would expect, and did not have the cream cheese! By the way, I don't know if there is a taco time near you, but a fun hot challenge is a Habanero burrito without the creamy white sauce they insert to reduce the heat. When I did this once, the clerk said to me, "you're kidding me right? Do you have any idea how hot that will be?" I flat out said, "yes, I don't care, I want to feel the natural heat." I regretted everything.

Certainly one of the tastiest. Sadly as of Saturday most Arby's in my area were out of the sauce. One had some left so I got to try this thing. My two cents: Slightly more spicy than an Angry Whopper. It brings the flavor big time and I am sure a lot of folks will be missing this like Darth Maul misses peeing. I've tried both versions of this sandwich and the chicken is definitely superior to the brisket. The heat did not overpower the flavor of the chicken, and ended up being a wonderful blend of flavors. In fact, if Arby's decides to keep the Diablo Chicken on their menu for good, it is something I would seek out often. It's seriously that good - amazing for a fast food restaurant, actually. The brisket version was just "ok." So, Review Brah, definitely try the chicken and tell us what YOU think. I think you'll be surprised at just how much better it is.

"an item that isn't a lie" I wouldn't say that specific sandwich you had isn't a lie...it didn't have the Diablo bun, which is supposed to be red in color. Hence, *diablo* Plot twist: They didn't give him the bun because they didn't want to torture a god And very true about companies saying "ghost pepper" and it turns out to just have the spice level of Cayenne...the only exception to this up until now where it had the Ghost name and it was legitimately as hot as it said it would was the Fiery Ghost at Red Robin. I've had it a couple of times because it was my favorite burger. The combo of fried and raw jalapeños with the ghost sauce and pepper Jack was perfect. They gave me the sauce on the side so I could decide how much I'd want on the burger, and whatever was left over I'd dip their bottomless fries in. Shame it's off the menu now
