I just have to know why people want these cabinets when they can create their own machine and all the software is free? Is it the look of the cabinet? Is it the reproduction nostalgia? I guess space in my house is fairly limited so I wouldn’t jam these single title cabinets around my house when I could have one machine with thousands of titles in it.

@@ArtificialExperience I bought a1up cause I cant fit 10 real cabinets in my house and idk how to maintenance them when they break. A dedicated cab is more appealing to me than a cab with 2 joysticks, 10 buttons, a ball, and spinner clogging the deck. I dont know how to build my own machine either. A1up provides (well atleast used to before going to shit) a convenient way to just plug and play while feeling like an arcade, while also being able to fit inside my house, no break, and not weigh 500 pounds

@@christocream If you’ve ever used a computer, hooked up a computer, downloaded software and used Google, you could do it. Just start researching MAME and down the rabbit hole you will go. I have a machine that played every arcade game ever built, and almost every console system ever built for the cost of 2 of the A1UP machines. But more power to ya my friend if that’s not your thing. Just have fun and enjoy!

Honestly, I am kind of happy there isn't a whole lot I want to buy from Arcade 1up. Collectivey I've spent multiple thousand dollars over the years for cabinets where I could be putting that money towards other things. This year I bought a used Marvel Vs Capcom 2 cab and I'm pretty happy there. If Arcade 1up was doing all the cabs I could ever want all at once, I would be in debt. A lite year from Arcade1up is good for my wallet!

I too, am Canadian and the claw machine is what is the most exciting to me in a very long time. Bummed it isn't coming to Canada but that also means I won't be a test consumer who has to deal with potentially a crap product.

What's your rec about getting an asteroids cabinet? I really couldn't find any Arcade 1up versions, so maybe it's just going after some rare original cabinet that I stumble across???

Man, when I bought my first couple A1U cabs I like many of us in this community was really hoping they would expand their license holdings/sharings whatever. Since they released Simpsons/TMNT, which came to arcades in the early 90s, I was hoping they would expand their Konami titles and announce a Lethal Enforcers cab since they've done light gun games already and nothing. Just the same cabs/titles skinned differently. I think I"m done with A1U until they get their crap together. If they're planning on changes in the future to stay afloat, I'll believe it when I see it.

I loved this years releases! Its been a great year. The claw machine and the Midway cab are super cool! I think they have one more for us before the end of the year. I honestly cant wait til the xmas specials.

I'm relatively new at the hobby having started this year {4 cabs (Atari, Pacman, MK2 and Cap vs Mar) and 1 4K pinball Addams F}. I would like to see older cabs that I missed out on but I'm over all the Pacman variations. Star Wars in a Deluxe would be nice. If there was an upgrade for the claw to bring it up to at least 16oz, then I'd be game for that.

All I want for Christmas is a Robotron 2084 cab. It may be time to build my own, if Arcade1Up cannot create anything other than re-runs of their existing products and a claw machine.

I just bought the Atari 60th machine because I got an excellent open box deal for $399. I was thinking it might be my last cab I get as my confidence in this company is blah at best. They seem to have no one near the top of the decision makers, who were arcade enthusiasts, and it is showing. It's frustrating because I could take this company and hit homerun after homerun.

I feel like Arcade 1up is a dead carcass being dragged around. I would love to see a pic of a Pac Man ghost with an Arcade1up logo on it. Im still waiting to see what John D does. Right now, I would love to have better replacements of my existing cabs like a better Simpsons and Turtles where the control panel is further apart and some flaws like the Turtles intro and that strange shadowing under the characters in The Simpsons being fixed. An NFL Blitz that has late hits and an NBA Jam that also has NBA Showtime and day one purchase for me.

I bought a Golden Tee Deluxe this year, but that was it because the rest of what they released this year didn’t appeal to me. I think the slim cadey design and that new Pac Man are steps in the wrong direction. I’m ok with the claw machine because it represents something new and different, but it doesn’t appeal to me. I wanted XL Star Wars, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Smash TV/Robotron. I feel like their last truly exciting cab was Time Crisis and it’s been disappointing since.

Why not get full sized games instead of these? I bought a Golden Tee Complete machine for $450. It needed a little cleaning up, but it's the real game. Between a few original cabinets and vertical and horizontal MAME cabs to fill in the game list, I just don't get these for actual collectors. They seem like they're made for a person that buys one at Christmas time and forgets about it by February.

That's a great option for a lot of people. Sadly where I live it isn't an option unless i want to pay another $500 to get it freight shipped here. I am currently looking into building my own Robotron 2084

@@MichaelBtheGameGenie Robotron is an awesome game. Are you familiar with Multi Williams boards? If you get a JROK board, you can have all the great Williams games running on one machine and on actual hardware vs. emulation.

They were done in 2022. You can only buy so many Pacman, Mortal Kombat and NBA Jam cabinets. It's embarrassing what happened to them. How hard is it to get a license for a game from the 80s that is no longer produced? The guys who make the little miniature arcades seem to have no problem doing it. I would have loved a Robotron 2084/Smash Tv or even a Centipede that had the correct aspect ratio on a vertical monitor.

they kill the new product releases by asking too much IMO. a lot of us got in the habit of buying when on sale. i'll wait for a sale once again. i was considering the new claw machine. for $399 it will probably be a buy for me.

Imagine in 2025 they come out with - Jurassic Park, Daytona, House of the dead, Smash TV, Star Wars Trilogy Arcade…THAT would be amazing (and were I thought they would end up going). If next year is claw machines and Pac-Man. Pfft, forget it. I’d maybe settle for a deluxe Simpsons or Turtles 😂

MB - You've mentioned this topic so many times I'm starting to feel like you know something (and/or are trying to get the community to push for something). Otherwise... why bring it up? I can't imagine A1U sent you out to tell everyone what they're NOT doing. Unless they're thinking this will somehow drum-up sales for the claw machine and Pac-Man because people might otherwise hold out hope for something else?

@@ArtSproul cabinet had wrong monitor and no picture... Only email assistance once a day replies from customer service. Asked me to take pictures, videos...sent purchase info, asked for more video, pictures....kept trying to trouble shoot but I'm like, it's the wrong monitor...bought mk deluxe, monitor was for earlier gen mk. 2 weeks later still asking me for pics, videos. I said, just mail me my part under warranty, store is super far away I bought it from. I ended up taking it back to store on last eligible return day cause I felt like they were never going to help and I would be stuck with paper weight.
