It's really good that they've got a plant based restaurant on board. That's a big tick for me and would certainly influence my decision to cruise on the Arvia. And great to see that they kept all the other passengers out so you could dine in peace. Great service 😂

Hahaha! So many people are put off by it not serving any meat but we’d strongly recommend anyone to give it a go! It was delicious! We had a great cruise, really great value for money in our opinion. Thanks for watching! 🥂🥳🚢

For one terrible moment I thought you were going to disrespect my favourite ship 😅 We're doing the transatlantic trip in October and I am looking forward to the 9 sea days more then visiting Tenerife or the 4 Caribbean stops, even though I've never been! I love Arvia, the food, the bars, the pools, the Atrium and SkyDome but most of all, the promenade deck which I adore walking around. Thank you for showing me more of what we've got to look forward to in 160 days (not that I'm counting) time!

Ahh… never! We too love Arvia. She really is a fantastic ship. We’re not sure why she gets given such a bad rap tbh but each to their own I guess! 😊 Amazing!!! That 160 will fly by I’m sure. We wish you a Fantastic sailing! 🚢🏝️☀️🥂🍹🎉🥳

Like others I also can’t understand why Arvia gets the thumbs down from quite a few people ( then again there was a graceless, loutish, thankfully small, minority onboard when I sailed on her with a bit of argy bargy over sunbed hogging) I thought it was not only stunningly beautiful but the choice and range of quality venues was almost overwhelming. Agree totally about the delicious rum cocktails in the Amber Lounge and 100% agree with Ben that the chocolate Earth plate is quite simply the best dessert ever (and I’m not usually a dessert person). We did the same cruise in 2023 and had a ball and met some great people too.

Absolutely agreed with all points. We will be doing a wrap up soon talking about this as we too struggle to understand why so many people don’t seem to like her. Glad to hear you had a great cruise too! 🥳🥂☀️🏝️

Love that there's a plant-based restaurant on board. We would have liked that on Iona, would love to cruise on Arvia at some point. Great video 🙂

Thank you! 😊 Yeah Arvia is definitely worth a go. Very few differences between Iona and Arvia but the differences do make a fair difference. Iona is PERFECT for the fjords though. Thanks for watching. 😊🚢🥂

@@GetLostWithBenAndGareth Yes. P&O brand is dissolving into Carnival. 90 years of history down the drain because of "cost savings". Sucks really. Profit over people as always.

Hey guys, so every restaurant you go to on board. Do you have to wait to be seated? And they take your order for breakfast, dinner etc? The laundry, i take you had no issues bringing laundry detergent with you?

Hello 👋 Laundry, absolutely no issues at all. We just put them in a container to protect our clothes in case they burst. Restaurants, generally the booked ones like Sindhu we were seated as soon as we arrived. The main dining rooms could have a wait but if you use the virtual queue we found it wasn’t an issue. I think the longest wait was around 15 minutes, but we opted for a cocktail while waiting but it was ready before we were finished 😅 they hold it for 15 minutes though so no need to sprint. In terms of ordering I don’t believe you can order ahead. It was always done at the table. On some ships if you have food allergies they can order in advance but you’d have to check with the line you’re booked with. Happy sailing 😄🛳️🥂

Hi 👋😃 P&O have a virtual queue system which we’ve found works pretty well at lunch and breakfast. You can go into the ‘mobile app’ and select the restaurant you want to go, then join the queue. Usually by the time you get there a table is free or it’ll at least tell you where in the queue you are. You can turn up and join a physical queue too of course.

Do they have very much vegan/ plant based food on the menu in the other restaurants?

As we’re not vegan ourselves we didn’t really notice too much to be completely honest. 🫣 That said. We do remember vegan options available in the main dining rooms and the buffet. And to be fair, I’m sure if you let them know your requirements they will do their best to assist where possible. ☺️
