I bought the 4.0 jacket and rain jacket combo for my brother and he really likes it. He said it's very warm and he does a lot of walking and hiking with it. The rain shell really keeps out the wind and rain. So we'll see how it holds up in the long run.

Here is a crucial note Baerskin did reply finally to my email stating that it is on its way, BUT THE TRACKING NUMBER PREFIX UJ OR "UG" IS A CHINA POST TRACKING AND IS SENT "UNREGISTERED" IN THE U.S. WHICH MEANS OVER HERE YOU CAN NOT TRACK YOUR PACKAGE. THIS SAVES BAERSKIN SOME MONEY!!! THAT SOUNDS OFF KEY TO ME. CHINA POST IS NOTORIOUSLY SLOW! NOT GOOD AS I MAY NOT GET MY HOODIES UNTIL JULY😢!

That was my biggest beef with this company, there is no way to track your package so you have no idea if it is on the way, in a warehouse, on a truck, or on a ship. But honestly, that was the only thing that pissed me off about the whole thing. I DID take about a month to get here.

Baerskin has just added a phone number and a chat box. It's at the bottom of their website. Trying to get a return authorization (see my previous comment). I was able to get a case number and they said I would be contacted by email. We'll see. I'm sure there are a lot of similar cases but the Harvard School of Business could sure use this as a case study for how not to run and how to total screw up a business Wonder what would have happened if Apple had started like this when they first introduced the iPhone?

Thanks for the update. I am trying to return one I bought for my husband but does not fit. There is no phone or email, only a form which I have sent repeatedly with no response. They should set up an auto-reply that explains what's going on. I guess I could send them a letter. Not a bad jacket but not worth what they charge, even with the 60% "discount". Also, his height is 5'6" and he wears a size medium. The Bearskin fits him in the chest but is very long, like a trench coat. The sleeves are about 6" too long. They seem to for designed for people 6' and taller.

There was an address for the company at the bottom of their website, but on Google Maps it appears to be just an office in a strip mall. However, there is potentially good news: this morning when I went to the bottom of their website, the address was gone but now there is a phone number. Ever better there was a chat box (probably AI) After I explained my problem, they gave me a case number and said they would contact me by email. We'll see what happens. PS: I found the address with a caveat at another place on their website. "16192 Coastal Highway 19958 DE-Lewes. Please note that the above-mentioned address is NOT a return address". Good luck to all of you out there.

Thank you for your video. I am so disappointed with their customer service. Like you said, don’t charge our credit cards until you ship. They’ve had my money since November 2nd. I wanted to return the jacket and liner I purchased. They were still in the clear bags that I received them in. I followed all the return instructions and sent my items back. I waited the 7-10 days and then emailed for an update. I included a screenshot of the USPS site showing my package was picked up from the Russellville post office. I then tracked down a ph# and called to only have to leave a message. No return phone call. I finally received a reply email from Jason asking me to send a copy of my USPS receipt showing the tracking # and address the return was sent to. I feel like they are prolonging the return because they don’t have cash flow. They’ve probably already resold the items I’ve returned. Will never shop from them again or recommend to anyone. Glad you enlightened us on this issue. Long wait times for Chinese products is common in the outdoor industry. Not anticipating the demand after having it advertised all over the internet AND multiple KZbin channels is on them. Lack of communication is on them. Charging a credit card before shipping is an absolute NO NO. When things like this happens. People by nature will begin to call "Scam" so all the momentum of the marketing is gone. It's bad business practice. 3.0 vs. 4.0 is a typical upgrade issue with goods. 3.0 is a good product but probably had a lower profit margin. Someone decided to have less features with a poorer quality material to decrease production costs and increase profits. Then add an additional Chinese made product with a lower production cost to counter the lowered quality. If some company produces a new version BLAH BLAH BLAH .0 the consumer expects the same quality as the older version PLUS additional well thought out features. If you can do this and it's legit. The company is good to go. Rarely does this ever happen. Higher costs to the consumer. Lower quality. Higher profits.

Sadly, in this day and age, scams and sub-par products abound and hardly anyone pays attention to things like the BBB. I am mad at myself for not doing my usual due diligence in reading reviews, etc. They took my money instantly (naturally) and didn’t even send me an order confirmation but later sent an email apologizing for the delay and telling me they would include a “free gift” with my order due to the delay but I have heard NOTHING about my repeated requests for cancellation and refund. AWFUL (non-existent???) customerservice. NEVER AGAIN! I thought these were American made (again, failure on my part to do my usual due diligence) and that was part of the appeal. Ugh! 😣

What you just said is EXACTLY what happened to my order. Prior to watching your video, I called my bank and reported the transaction as fraud. If and when I receive this hoodie, I will most likely return it to Baerskin regardless of the quality. China = strike 1. No customer service = strike 2, cold weather has passed = strike 3.

Glad you were able to withstand Turd Furguson 149's smelly criticism. Baerskin has this one ad that says, "you're not a child youre a man, stop wearing all those layers!" I'm like, layers saves lives bro! #1 rule of active outdoors, layer up. I'd pick a thick hoodie with 2 dozen pockets for working around outside close to home, in a shop, etc with minimal exertion or risk to adverse exposure to the elements.

I too was inundated with those Baerskin ads ripping on layering, equating layering to what kids do. That type of marketing told me everything I need to know about that company. Hard pass. Have exactly same issue right now. I have sent items back for exchange and nothing but crickets. They sent me prepaid USPS labels, the tracking says that they were delivered to the Russellville, KY return facility, but I have heard nothing since and zero responses to emails sent through contact form. They have no call center to address issues. I will wait another two weeks and then I am having the bank deny the charge and get after them. Another issue is that the sizing chart is completely wrong. Everything I ordered was cut WAY to big for the measurements on the chart.

I have the 3.0 and love it. Ordered the combo 4.0 and rain jacket. It will get here when it gets here. Hopefully sooner then later so I can see how well I like it. Supply and demand people. If they are low on stock they can only get them to you when they have them in stock. This isnt amazon 2 day shipping people. RELAX!

For real, dude. Your experience isn’t the same as others. I requested cancellation and refund SEVERAL times and have been ignored completely. I didn’t even receive an order confirmation but I did receive an email apologizing for the lengthy wait and telling me that they would throw an additional item in with the order. Of course, ignoring completely that I requested cancellation and refund. Never, ever again.

All they're doing is giving an artificial 60% discount to bring the price down to an extremely overinflated sales price. The fact that KZbin assists some of their scam artist advertisers makes them as dispicable as the scammers themselves. My favorite one was the lowly Japanese bladesmith that made 200,000 painstakingly hand crafted knives a year and sold his wares for twice the price of the same exact knife available on Amazon.

I ordered the jacket 2 weeks before Christmas with the promise to arrive before Christmas. I didn't receive it. i also paid for the gift wrapping. I emailed them multiple times before they finally told me that I would receive it until after or around Jan 20th. They also said in email, which I still have, that they would give us $100 gift card towards future purchase. Well, I finally received the package. It was not gift wrapped. A dust bag is the gift wrapping. Which i didn't even use since it's no longer Christmas. Also the $100 gift card they promised did not come with it. They sent a $20 gift card instead. I emailed them the same day I received the package and have yet to hear back. The customer service is seriously lacking.

In addition to the delay in shipping that you describe, I have another problem. They finally shipped almost 2 months after order was placed, but tracking information tells me that product was delivered yesterday afternoon. It was not received, surveillance video shows there was no delivery in the timeframe surrounding the indicated delivery time, and there is no issue with porch pirates here. The tracking information is useless - carrier is not identified and no carrier POC info is provided. Customer service response to my email & chat inputs re: non-receipt/non-delivery is to repeat trite AI message that tracking shows package as delivered regardless of the wording of my request. Very frustrating and, at this point, I wonder if I will ever see the product.

I did my research and heard enough positive that I went ahead and ordered one. But after a few weeks, Baerskin canceled my order and refunded my money. I asked why they canceled it and never got a reply. I think they just started shedding later orders knowing they cannot fill them. At least I got my money back.

The shipping tracking they give you ise useless for US tracking. So if there are any problems you cant even contact the carrier to get it sorted.

If they charge the card when it ships they lose mega orders from cancelations. That wasn't in their budget forecast. They missed the boat on stocking up, and got a PR nightmare as a result. Their ad campaigns were shady to begin with. Did you buy into the Hawk Tuah coin too? :)

I always assume that when I order from China it's going to take 2-3 months. People are so quick to scream Scam. I wear my 2.0 almost every day. It took about 6-7 weeks to get mine even back then.

My wife ordered me the 4.0 combo of Fleece jacket zip-in Rain Jacket back in November of 2024. Very poor communication, although she has emailed them multiple times. Still haven’t received the jackets as of Jan 25, 2025! She has filed a complaint with her CC company, which was charged immediately upon Baerskin taking her order. Very bad optics for this company!!!

It shows how stupid society has become and people buying crap products. I mountain climb, Sea kayak and do most of my outdoor adventures in bad weather. I have looked at the commercials and I have done research into the Bearskin BS and I have zero desire to waste my money on the product. To me, it is how I can spot a poser and someone who has no clue what they are doing out in the elements. Whether I was fishing out of Dutch, or when I am on the job site and see newbs show up and what they are wearing, it is dead giveaway in them not knowing what they are doing and have zero experience. I see it with mountain climbing too, also with hunting and fishing. If you buy this crap, yeah, you have joined a club of people who all look just like you and tell the world they have no clue what they are doing.
