Bass music is fun but the fact i run out of air in 3 measures is a huge pain + the weird embouchure shift when jumping from a small shank 5g to a large 1.5G is not easy

I’d say bass because of the insane range. I can go from Bb 0-Bb 6 (shaky tho) with a 6 1/2 AL. Pretty crazy

if you have asthma, DO NOT PLAY BASS TROMBONE. the amount of air you need for it to sound good is off the charts. If you can put enough air through it, it sounds awesome though

I have severe asthma. I am the (technically) best bass trombone player in my entire school. I am just fine. It's not the amount of air, it's how you use it. It's a lung sucker and a half (has the 2nd greatest airflow of any wind instrument, only behind flute), but you just gotta learn to control your air.
