I want to use Nintendo music because it genuinely makes for incredible background music, but I fear one day Nintendo will put their music into KZbin's Content ID System and ruin everything 😅
@mariotheundying8 күн бұрын
I wonder if they actually benefit from people using their music, they could've copyrighted it on youtube for a long time, but they don't, or maybe the content normal ytbers make is transformative enough and they respect it

My theory is that they haven't done it because they know that syo many KZbinrs use their music to the point where if they did it'd probably kill like half the site (likely including gaming content as a whole).

I’ve noticed a lot of KZbinrs tend to use Nintendo music in their videos; it’s generally because video game music doesn’t get ruthlessly blocked quite like some other copyrighted music, and there’s a lot of variety in Nintendo’s catalog. Some other ones I tend to see a lot is Icicle Mountain from Smash Bros Melee, and Beach from Plok.

It's NOT a Polka; it's inspired by French music.

he said it's similar to a polka
@pauljs757 күн бұрын
The thing is that style of French music has influences of both Polka and Waltz, given the time it was invented. But yes, it's still unique as well. I'm guessing something related to "valses musette" in terms of arrangement, but slower in tempo? (I don't know a lick of French, but that's what the more generic "Paris cafe music" seems to tie into when searching.)

Can't quite find the exact name of it, but the music genre origins the song is based on is from France. (It's like the Paris cafe music thing, but it does have ties to the Polka and Waltz so that interpretation isn't far off at all.) The instrumentation is a strong indicator of where the influence is from on top of that beat you already pointed out.

hey, your explanation of Mixing With Noise is completely incorrect. White noise is a terrible choice for mixing since its equal loudness at all frequencies. the technique is called **Mixing with Pink Noise**, its odd that you left the pink noise part out? its not pink noise because some quirky engineer decided they like pink, it's pink noise for its 3dB/o downwards slope, which more closely matches human hearing than white noise.
