Hey peter, i recently found your channel looking around for videos about law school and what it really means to be a lawyer. Youre doing a great job with the videos, i would keep doing vlogs about your daily routine. Im currently a sophomore industrial engineering student but im thinking about taking the lsat next year and applying for law school. Im also bi-lingual (Spanish and english) which would be a plus if i go to texas or florida (im currently at the university of arkansas). If the lsat doesn’t go well i can just get an engineering job which pays well too.

Augustin, that’s great to hear. Being bilingual is a huge plus and engineering is usually a difficult major, which will prepare you for what’s ahead in law school. Good luck to you and if you ever have any questions feel free to reach out!

45% isn't easy per se but let's be real it's not that hard (solely comparing % acceptance). Doctor of Physical Therapy grad school has a 4-5% acceptance rate, and med school has even lower rates

I'll put it this way. Becoming a Lawyer isn't easy.

Hey, what are your thoughts on becoming a lawyer in your mid twenties?

I’m not in the US but I’d really like to go into law but I feel I might be a bit too old now at 44 years young.

Brother i urge you to become it. If it is your dream you should work day and night for it. If you think you can become it you can. DO NOT GIVE UP AND GIVE IN!!!

I’m assuming it’s harder for somebody from a lower economic bracket to become a lawyer, right? I’m only assuming this based on anecdotal evidence and haven’t looked up any stats., but it seems to be that, at least in my circle, my lawyer friends and acquaintances all came from wealthier backgrounds.

It depends how smart you are. Some of these brilliant young kids that are only 21-23 years old get all A's in college, get a 172 on the LSAT, and fly through law school and the Bar exam like NOTHING.

its more about how much work you put in than actually being super smart

Hey Peter! Do you recommend me to study this career?

Hi I recently came across your page and I majored in criminal justice had dreams of becoming a lawyer personal Injury is a high interest of mine but I always hear there isn’t enough work life balance and that’s important to me. Is that something you can talk about in your next video? I’d love to actually hear someone’s experience on their work life balance. Thanks!

Great question! I will definitely do a video on that! In the meantime, you should check out my day in the life videos.

But didn't you already have an advantage with father as a lawyer?
